cold breeze fell upon Steve... It was a cold day, and the breeze made
everything cooler. Steve took a minute to think about how he got into this
situation. The situation consisted of Steve, and his curiosity, and ambition
to attack a creature. The creature that Steve was chasing, was a small,
three foot long snake like creature, with one solid black eye, and three
fangs slipping out of its mouth. The creature had been previously startled,
and took a deadly bite of Steve's brother.
This creature wasn't something you'd find in a hole. It was sent here from
hell. The small bite that the snake fell upon Steve's brother, had left the
child paralyzed. After attacking the child, the creature bolted out into the
open space, and through Steve's front door. Steve grabbed his rifle from the
table, swung it on his shoulder, and leaped out the window after the snake.
That's how this all started. Steve has been chasing the snake now for a good
ten minutes, and can hear the crazy creature squealing, as if it was
laughing. Suddenly, the laughter stopped... the snake was cornered. Steve
anxiously stepped towards it, cocking his rifle.
"Now, you'e gonna die." said Steve, as he tried to regain his breathe. The
creature stood still. Steve took the rifle, and fired a single shot... The
shot missed, and out of nowhere, the creature came flying towards Steve, like
a bat out of hell. "Shit, that thing is faster then my eyesight..." said
Steve, quietly to him self.Steve quickly turned, and saw the shadow of the
creature as it slithered down into a drainage ditch. Steve ran towards it,
bent down, and grasped the crate. It was useless... The drain was locked,
and there was no way that Steve could fit in the small opening of the drain.
Suddenly, an idea popped in Steve's brain. The rifle.. Yes, the rifle.
Maybe, just maybe, The rifle could break open the crate.Four shots fired,
four shots hit. The drain however, was still in perfect condition. All that
accomplished, was the loss of ammo. "Damn..." Steve yelled... as he saw
something in the corner of his eye...A pipe. A solid steel pipe. It lie in
the corner of a trash can. Steve walked over, picked it up, grasped it in
the drain opening, jumped up, and fell down on the pipe. Lucky shot. The
pipe buckled, but Steve's massive power drove the pipe upward, and it ripped
the steel crate open as if it was a soda can. Steve then grasped on to the
bent crate, and pulled, hard, severely cutting up his hand, and creating a
hole big enough, so he could leap in.
And that's exactly what Steve did. He took a leap, and fell a good twenty
feet. Steve still had the rifle on his back, heard the creature... It was
down here waiting for him, and Steve could see nothing but darkness... It was
a trap.Steve heard what sounded like a laugh, and quickly realized he had a
flash stick in his pocket. He pulled out the six inch long plastic stick,
and snapped the top off... The entire stick gave off a bright white light,
which illuminated the sewer. Steve quickly looked, and saw the creature as
it darted towards him... "Not today..." said Steve as he grabbed the snake in
mid air, and threw it with a mighty thrust towards the wall before it could
bite him. While the snake laid dazed, on the cold, damp, sewer floor, Steve
took the rifle and rattled off another three shots. All three shots struck the
creature, and Steve slowly moved towards it.. An orange liquid, sort of like
blood, but it looked more like a goo, ran out from the wounds... The creature
seemed dead, and Steve was but a few steps away, when suddenly the creature
leaped towards Steve, just nearly missing Steve's ear by a few inches.
"Son of a bitch...what the hell are you?" said Steve. Steve was confused.
Here lie in front of Steve a three foot snake, which had just a few seconds
ago, been hammered with three shots from a rifle, and yet it still had the
energy to try and attack him. There Steve stood... Wandering, what the hell
to do. Steve took the rifle again, aimed and took another shot at the
creature. More goo came from the snake, and it again leaped in the air,
trying to strike Steve. Then, after the last strike attempt, Steve ran
towards it, stepped on his head, while he took off his shirt. The snake
screamed, and tried to escape from his foot, but he was unsuccessful. Steve
then bent down grabbed the snake, and with a quick motion, rapped the snake
up in the shirt. He held the creature bound in the shirt as he searched his
jeans' pockets for a rope, or something to bind the shirt togethor. After
searching, he finally came upon a rubber band. Sure, it wasn't as strong as
rope, but it would get the job done.
After Steve finally got the snake all packaged, he threw it through the sewer
opening, and crawled out. He left the flash stick down in the hole, and
started running to the local FBI office. It wasn't actually a FBI office...
more like a little police station, only inhabited by three "FBI" agents.
They didn't wear black suits, but they had the FBI knowlege, and as far
as Steve knew, they were the only ones in the town who could deal with the
creature.
Three miles of constant running passed, and Steve was tiring out. But as
luck would have it, the FBI office was only about five hundred feet ahead of
Steve. "Almost there..." Steve grumbled as he held the snake tight.
Suddenly, out of no where, a small stone which lie on the road tripped Steve.
The shirt went flying in the air, and before it fell to the ground, the
snake burst through the nylon, and lounged towards a small child.
"Ahhhhhhh!" the child screamed in pain, as the one eyed three foot long snake
went and sank its three fangs through the child's arm. The arm was heavily
mutilated, and fell to the ground, as did the child... Steve only watched in
horror, but that view of horror was soon disrupted by something much
greater....The hell sent snake actually grew in size... nearly doubling its
length. It let out a loud snarl, as he came slithering towards Steve. Steve
was helpless, he was on the ground, and the rifle had been detached from his
back, and laid a good twenty feet away. The snake was about three feet away
from Steve...When suddenly, out of nowhere, a loud sound occurred, much like
the sound of a shotgun being discharged... The snake fell to the ground.
It's entire head was destroyed. The eye...the fangs... everything was
distorted... The orange blood covered Steve's head, as he looked up... It
was one of the FBI agents.. He had seen what had happend to the child,
grabbed a shotgun, came out, and took a perfectly aimed shot to the creature.
His actions had saved Steve, but killed a young child.
Three weeks later, Steve was in the courtroom, apending a jury. The snake
was referred to as an unknown creature, because it was so brutally mutilated.
The defense was accusing Steve of bringing the snake to the town, which
killed the child.
"Has the jury come upon a verdict?" said the judge, as he looked towards a
man dressed in a pair of khakis, and a white windbreaker jacket, which
covered a white dress shirt. "Yes, we have... We find the defendant, not
guilty, of any charges, because if he didn't take his actions, it's best not
to think of how many other people that creature could have attacked...."
