The Brooklawn Kosher Meats, juggernauts of season one of Pool Wiffle Ball, are not quite as stacked as they were in years past. Still, they are led by 2005 MVP Pete Bertucci, arguably the game's best all around player. They also feature up and comer Anders Makoski, who has shown promise in Spring Training, especially with his ability to drive in runs when given the opportunity. The remaining three players are what could make or break the Meats' season. Brandon Rothschild, quite possibly the best hitter to ever play the game, is the real wild card. He could play 10 games and lead the Meats to the best record in the league, or he could play no games and be in Europe for the whole season. Robbie Ippolito, another hard hitting lefty, should also produce when available but is also not a reliable everyday player. James Ryan has the heart and could end up being this team's regular third player, but he talks a better game than he plays. If Bertucci can get either Rothschild or Ippolito every game, expect this team to run away with the league's best record, but that is a big "if." |
