A Fibro Sufferer's Prayer
Dear Lord, I am grateful you know me so well
And see in my heart what words can not tell
While others can't sense what I'm going through,
You know every wish, every fear and pain, too.
Lord, may I not dwell on my own misery.
But reach out to others, then help me to see
I'm not just empowering my fellow man,
But helping myself, as I follow your plan.
Through all of the pain and exhaustion I've known
Help me to sense the great care you have shown.
May I not miss all the blessings you bring,
But seek them, enjoy them and let my heart sing.
Please hold me tight in the palm of your hand.
Give me a heart to understand
That you will stay with me and love me always,
Seeing me through for the rest of my days.
Help me hold my complaints to a minimum, Lord,
Knowing my life in your memory is stored.
Forgive me for blaming you when it's too much,
Rather may I rely on your comforting touch.
Father, I ask that you show me the way
That leads to my healing and a brighter day.
Help me trust in your guidance and rest in your care,
Keeping my hope alive while I'm on the way there
