Onion - Fried Okra |
1 pound fresh okra 1/2 cup white cornmeal 1/2 teaspoon onion salt 1/8 teaspoon pepper 1/2 cup salad oil |
Wash okra, remove ends and cut okra into 1/2 inch slices. Stir together cornmeal, onion salt and pepper. Add okra and toss until thoroughly coated. Heat oil in large skillet. Cook and stir in okra in oil until brown. Serve hot. |
