Liver And Onions |
3 tablespoons margarine or butter 2 medium onions thinly sliced 3 tablespoons vegetable oil or shortening 1 pound liver, 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick flour salt pepper |

Heat margarine in 10 inch skillet over medium high heat. Saute onions in margarine 4-6 minutes or until light brown. Remove from skillet. Keep warm. Heat oil in same skillet until hot, coat liver with flour, cook in oil over med heat 2-3 minutes on each side or until brown. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Add onions during last minute of cooking. Makes 4 servings |
