In 1999, on our fifth adventure, we flew out of Boston to San Francisco, again over Labor Day in September, one of our favorite times to travel.
We drove north on Highway 101 towards Oregon. We stopped several times to take photos of the rocks jetting out of the ocean and the driftwood which was smooth and almost white, the size of full grown trees, littering the coast among the swirling design of the windblown sand.
In Leggitt California we stopped to drive through the "Drive Thru Tree". ![]() ![]() We continued up the west coast through a very windy area called Capetown where we found cows roaming across the roadway. ![]() As we headed further north we began to see Elk. These shots were taken at Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park. ![]() The little towns we passed through had terrific Victorian style homes. ![]() ![]() |
