1995 was the year that we went on our first vacation together. We flew out of Boston to San Fancisco over the Labor Day holiday in September. We stayed in Gurneyville, just about an hour north of San Francisco. We stayed at a resort called Paridise Cove. We had a private modern "cottage" with a corner fireplace, kitchen, pool outside our room with a hot tub. The view was of palm trees around the pool and the resort was on the side of an large hill covered with redwood trees, a sky full of stars at night. Most of the folks in town were 'hippies', peace signs, bare feet, VW vans and tie-die tee-shirts.
