Readers Concern
It is
worth noting the concerns about the publication of "Remote Sensing and
Global Navigation at the UN" in Asian Surveying and Mapping (ASM)
Magazine. Below you will find the reflections received by e-mail that is in
addition to what I have received through phone and by hand writings. The
messages text is arranged by time sequence from newest to oldest. The
information in the brackets is given by me.

Dear Mr.
Tarikhi
Congratulations
on your new article. by the way how are you. I miss you very
much. I am working part time at
International Organization of migration a branch of UN.

[Jaleh Hatam is my former colleague when I was working in the Iranian Remote Sensing Center. Early in November 2003 she fired from her job unfairly because of the existence of deep official corruption in the Iranian Remote Sensing Center. She has been the closest and sincere colleague to me in course of my official work in the Iranian Remote Sensing Center and then the Iranian Space Agency since 1992. She worked as the officer in the Office for International Cooperation. Her presence made considerable motivation in the activity of the Office. She received the order of dismissal from the incompetent and poor quality chairman of the date of the Iranian Remote Sensing Center a week before being fired. My very efforts to keep her at work as a qualified officer for the scientific and technical international cooperation is failed unfortunately; the chairman himself was dismissed two months later.]

Dear my
friend Parviz Tarikhi,
How are you and your family? I am receiving information about your works. I
have founded in 2006 may, Private company INTEGRIS. Main specialization area is
the projects directed to Geographical Information, Remote Sensing, and
implementation of Digital Photogrammetry technologies, preparation of digital
map data, creation of corporative Geographical Information Systems, learning of
natural and anthropogenic resources of practical and remote sensing data and
implementation of this data in preparation of orthophoto and cadastre mapping
via Digital Photogrammetry technologies.
We have a project regarding Creation of Landuse/Landcover Map of all Azerbaijan territory using
medium resolution multi spectral Satellite Imagery such as IRS or SPOT 10color
last years,(2003-2007). But SPOT
is not covered all Azerbaijan territory that is why we made our request for you
about IRS. Is that possible to get Imagery from your agency? Or how can you help us about it? What
do you think about if we ask Mr.Hasan Shafti about this problem? If you would
give us any information about this problem we will appreciate you.

Dear Dr
Tarikhi,
Thank you for the above e-mail and it is great to hear from you again! I've
managed to read your article published in ASM, but cant open/read the JPGs
attachments somehow. You may generate PDF rather than image format files. I am
planning for a visit to Tehran later in the year and I may be able to visit
your ISA again (like in 2006 if you recall when gave a seminar).
Speak to you again and let's keep in touch.
Kind regards
