My happiest
semester during my undergraduate years was spent in Italy. The people,
the culture, the countryside, everything was magnificent. Four months in
Firenze (Florence) was enough to change my life. I fell in love with
the country and somehow was lucky enough to go back for my first year of
graduate study.
The view
from my window on VIa Maffia on the left and an old man in Venezia contributing
to the pigeon problem on the right.
Jaime,
myself, Caroline, Betsy and Leah on a bridge in Venezia.
Jaime (my
flatmate) looking fabulous at Papillon, our favorite bar. Here's
the other side of Jaime, assisted by Leah...such cruel friends to leave
Heather out in the rain.
For some
reason all the taxis in Firenze had slogans written in different languages
on their hoods for the first months that we were there. This one was my
favorite. "I smell you on my clothes" was a questionable second.
