There were Roses, and Daisys and Orchids and more
Everyone admired these flowers so rare
and no one saw the little vine struggling there
It grew against the wall without much sunlight
So the flowers never bloomed or gave anyone delight
Someone saw though and began to clear a space
so sunlight could play on this drab plants face
The gardener tended this plant hour by hour,and then something happened to this little wall flower
in the sunlight of love, it suddenly burst into bloom
and it's glorious beauty filled up the room
The Orchids and Roses stared in wonder and delight
As the wall flowers beauty reached up towards the light
Who knew such beauty existed there all the other plants murmured as they turned and stared
at that little wall flower that never saw the light
how had it become blossoms of beauty and a wonderous sight
the gardener just smiled as his love made it grow
and said I knew it was there, I knew it was so
Time has a way of healing all things
so the wise one's say
but I found that the touch of one's hands
can keep loneliness at bay
The reasurrance of knowing that someone is there
is the greatest treasure one could ever give
and the touch of one's hands,
can give one a reason to live
there's no cost, no money to spend
just a gesture of friendship extended with a hand
a simple thing to do, no big deal
but when done with love, can be so real
it can bridge boundries that once were wide
and can fill the emptiness one carries inside
just the warm touch of a person's hands
can spred happiness all over this land
so take time,reach out,touch a fellow soul
the touch of a humans hands is worth it's weight in gold.
Can you see the angel dancing in the early morning dawn?
Dressed in rosy colors, the clouds her lovely gown
Do you hear the angel laughing as she flies across the blue?
Can't you hear the angel singing about her love so true?
This angel is made of sunlight and rainbow colors too
for happiness has filled her soul and it's all because of you
Flying across the sunbeams and laughing all the way
Angel making music for this is her wedding day
This angel making music, radiates with a rainbow light
sparkling like a prism because of love so bright
Can you see the angel glowing as brightly as the sun
This angel making music who's life has just begun
In dreams I have been there
why I think in dreams I have been everywhere
I have been to beautiful valleys and mountains so tall
I've laughed and cried and helped those that took a fall
Yes I've done just about everything in my dreams
for there are no limits and no hidden scenes
I rode a big white stallion, and flew high up in the air
I met a beautiful princess and married her right there
I fought in many battles and sailed across the seven seas
Oh! there have been many wonderful dreams for me
I dreamed I was forever young and never would grow old
I dreamed I had a room full of silver and lot's of gold
I even dreamed once I was the President
Isn't it wonderful how dream time can be spent?
a world of imagation where one can really be"
just about anything they want you see.
So reach for the stars, close your eyes let sleep enter in
for a world of wonder awaits you
in dreamland my friends.
Starlight Angel
Silver sparkling starlight glistened in the velvet sky
Twinkling like diamonds on velvet as the starlight angel passes by
Scattering her diamonds far and wide across the midnight blue
as the starlight angel weaves her designs for lovers like me and you
She sings her song so clear and sweet as she soars beyond the moon
The song of sweethearts when they first met and summer's love in June
She is the starlight angel created to grace the sky
And to dust it with her stardrops for lovers to gaze upon and sigh
Her voice is gentle as the summer wind, as sweet as the willows sigh
The lovely angel waves at us as she flies across the sky
Mother's Seagulls
As I sit here and gaze at the wall
I see this picture that keeps me in awe
a special artist did this one for me
and now she paints in heaven for all the angels to see
I remember she said when she was a little girl
How she use to look at the skies at the pretty seagulls
and how they flew so gracefully and soared so very high
And if wishes did come true, she would wish that she could fly
Well Mother they do and I know your wish came true
For angels all have wings expecially artists like you
Now when ever I go down to the sea
I can see you there flying just ahead of me
Watching for trouble like you always did
and still keeping me safe as I venture ahead
The picture you painted hangs proudly on my wall
Sometimes when I look at it, I can hear your gentle call
I can feel the warmth of your arms
And see the smile upon your face
And I know for sure your happy and in God's grace
Even though your gone now and not here on this earth
This beautiful painting you left me
will always quench my thirst
It is as though when I touch it, I can feel you touching me
And like your painted seagulls, my heart just fly's so free
So keep painting Mother,keep painting on
For in God's house is where all artists belong.
Metamorphosis
It had been only deserts and scorched barren earth
Dry and thirsty, yet just waiting for birth
The flowers that struggled to bloom just seem to fade away
There was no love to feed them or make them stay
Then something happened, a miracle one might say
it wasn't rain but it changed all in a single day
Now roses bloom on a sunset hill
Smiling down on daffodils
Clouds dance by like playful kittens in the sky
And all around there is music , do you know why ?
She asked the Lark and the Whipporwill
Why things were so beautiful now on her hill
Why now were all the colors so beautiful and rare?
and they told her,it must be that prince standing over there
He stands and smiles and holds out his hand
And all at once she ran to him in this beautiful new land
At last love transformed a barren place
And now she can enjoy love's sweet embrace
Standing In The Shadows
I used to watch her everyday
Every evening she would come walking my way
A beautiful vision for the eyes to behold
but when she appeared I was never bold
She never knew I was standing there
Because I could find shadows everywhere
Many times I wanted to venture out
just to let her know that I was about
But I always seemed to draw back inside
Because I feared another walked at her side
Yes I admired her,but she saw me not
And whenever I would see her
All my troubles were forgot
Until one day it had to come to an end
I had to let her know my feelings were stronger
Than just that of a friend
Instinct told me I was taking a risk
But I couldn't go on anymore like this
I had to find a way to let her know
that her beauty and presence had moved me so
You know they say true love is blind
That the heart doesn't see what the eyes show
I knew in my case I hoped it was so
I stepped out of the darkness
I decided to take the chance
And I placed my faith in true romance
From that day forth and for evermore
We walk now together from shore to shore
That vision of beauty that used to walk by me
Now holds my heart and set me free
Now free from the shadows that I knew all my life
No longer a vision, but now she is my wife.
So my friend when your heart speaks to you
Listen to it for it tells you true
When in love just what you should do
and then you won't fight those inner battles
