Vasile Cioana's Biography

Vasile Cioana was born on August 23, 1976 in Resita. His home
club is CSS Resita & he made the national team in 1990. He established
himself as one of the top juniors ever in Romania, & had continued
success as a senior. In early 1999 he, along with his 2 teammates Marian
Malita & Viorel Popescu, turned up missing when it was time for the
Romanians to return home from the International Team Championships
in the USA. He went to New York to seek citizenship & to find a job.
While on the national team, he trained at the National Sports Center in
Bucharest under head coach Danut Grecu, assistants Aurelian Gheorghescu,
Nicusor Pascu & Stefan Gal & choreographer Elena Grecu.
