Rodica Dunca's Biography |
Rodica Dunca was born in Baia-Mare on May 16, 1965. Her first international competition was in a dual meet against Italy in 1978, but it wasn't until a year later when she burst on to the international gymnastics scene in Japan. Through the years, Rodica lived up to the hype that surrounded her. She was a member of 2 World Championship teams in 1979 & 1981 & the Olympic team in 1980. Her final competition was the 1982 World Cup, & she retired shortly after. She later married a choreographer for the Baia Mare Theater, named Zoltan Papp. She now coaches at her home club of CSS Baia Mare. last updated: November 28, 2000 |
