Mirela Tugurlan's Biography

Mirela Tugurlan ws born in Focsani on September 4, 1980. Her father,
Marinica, is an auto mechanic & her mother, Frosa, is a seamstress. She
has an older brother named Daniel. Mirela began gymnastics late, when
she was 8. Her favorite event was bars & her favorite gymnasts include
Nadia Comaneci, Lavinia Milosovici & Gina Gogean. Her hobbies are
reading horror books & watching horror movies. She also likes shopping
for cosmetics. Her favorite subject in school was Physics & Chemistry.
She's been to many places in the world, but her favorite was Atlanta,
Georgia, USA. At the age of 15, she weighed 79 pounds & was 4'7" tall.
Shortly after the 1997 Worlds, she retired at age 17. It was last reported
in early 1999 that she was studying to become a coach.
