Tank Destruction Badge, Gold/Silver class Gold: Awarded to a member who commands a single infantry squad achieving 3 confirmed kills of enemy tanks in CLOSE INFANTRY ASSAULT during h2h single battles or h2h and group Operations.Also awarded for getting 6 confirmed tank and/or AT gun kills with an individual schrek or bazooka team. 4 tank kills with any mortar team. Silver: 2 Confirmed Close Infantry Assault kills on enemy tanks. 4 confirmed tank and/or AT gun kills with an individual AT schrek or bazooka team. 3 tank kills by any mortar team. On December 18, 1943, as individuals earned multiple silver badges, it became evident that a higher class was needed. The Gold Class Tank Destruction Badge was awarded to soldiers who destroyed 5 enemy tanks single handeldly. |

Iron Cross, 2nd Class Awarded to a Pzt member for honorable acts above and beyond the call of duty. Leading successful designs and projects in the Gruppe and dedicating considerable time with Gruppe projects while keeping good order and holding truppen in high regard. Putting others above himself in service to Pzt for the honor of the Gruppe. The Iron Cross, 2nd Class was valued and many WWII recipieants proudly recall the details for which they were presented the Iron Cross. |
The Close Combat Bar / Die Nahkampfspange Awarded to the Pzt Member who is victorious in head to head Close Combat Operations and Grand Campaigns of at least 3 days in length, while also providing written reports in the Panzertruppen Close Combat Gruppe AAR Forums detailing his combat operations from start to finish. The Close Combat Bar was instituted on November 25, 1942 in order to recognize the courage of the German soldier in hand-to-hand combat. At least 15 combat days in which the soldier had the opportunity to be close enough to "see the white of the enemy's eyes", use combat weapons to assault the enemy man-to-man and be victorious. Since it had different criteria, this award was completely independent of the Infantry Combat Badge. |
Tank Assault Badge / Panzerkampfabzeichen Awarded to a member who commands an individual tank with 7 confirmed tank kills in a battle, operation or GC. Note: 9 kills necessary for the Panther Mark V and Konigstiger. (screenshot or written confirmation by an honorable opponent required) The Wehrmacht Tank Battle Badge was introduced on December 20, 1939, in order to recognize the achievements of Panzer personnel who took part in armored assaults. It was instituted by order of Generaloberst von Brauchitsh. |
Infantry Assault Badge / Das Infantrie-Sturmabzeichen Awarded for proving to be an active member and honorably representing the Pzt CC Gruppe both to his Kammeraden and the Close Combat community as a whole. Certainly not for those who would join only to wear the Pzt monikor. The initial class was instituted in silver and decorated foot infantry who participated in combat action earning a degree of experience that qualified them for the badge. A seperate class, in Bronze, was instituted on June 1, 1940. The Bronzed class had criteria similar to the requirements of the Silver. There was, however, one notable distinction; The status of the troops, bronzed meant mororized Panzer troops, silver meant foot infantry. |

General Assault Badge Awarded for outstanding combat achievements on the CC battlefield by a Panzertruppe. Holding top 4 ladder rank, beating the #1 ranked ladder opponent, achieving a 7 game ladder win streak (at least 3 opponents in the streak must have +1000 rank), and other remarkable acts which represent great skill. The General Assault badge was presented to engineers, as well as members of the artillary, anti-tank, and anti-aircraft units that served along with the infantry in the conduct of an assault. In addition, the badge was presented for the single-handed destruction of eight tanks or armored vehicles up until march of 1942 when specific awards were created for enemy tank destruction. |
Cholm Campaign Shield Victory in official team ops. The Cholm Shield was instituted on 1st July 1942 and was rewarded to all who were honorably involved in the battle of Cholm. It is the rarest among officially instituted campaign shields. |
Sniper Badge Scharfschuetzen-Abzeichen Awarded for achieving 20 confirmed kills with a sniper in a battle or operation. On Aug 20th, 1944, the Fuhrer instituted a special sniper's badge for the Army. The badge was to honor the marksman with his rifle, his success in the aimed single shot and at the same time being a motivation to show higher performance in the future. |

Marksman Lanyard Any individual squad rifleman who achieves 20 confirmed kills. OR any MG team member which achieves 35 confirmed kills in a battle or operation. Instituted on July 3rd, 1936, Marksmanship Lanyard are a proficiency award for shooting a rifle or Machine gun. |

Knights Cross with Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds Awarded only for exemplary leadership and selfless dedication in the service of Pzt CC Gruppe. Issued only to the most outstanding of germany's war heroes and senior commanders of WWII. The second highest of all german awards (the highest being with golden oakleaves). Only 27 Knights Crosses with Oakleaves, Swords and Diamonds were ever issued. |
Panzer Lanyard Any individual tank or vehicle (crew) that achieves 50+ confirmed kills, collectively. The Marksman Lanyard for panzer troops was instituted on 17 Oct, 1938 to include a tank on the plaque. |
