Fear Of Love

I know that I love you
I feel it inside
sometimes it's so strong
I know it cannot hide.

I think of the dreams
that I dream each night
I'm at such peace at first
then filled with fright.

You make me feel
dreams can come true
I see my future
filled with you.

Then I see my past
so filled with pain
and wonder if
it will again be the same.

I want to lose
these doubts I feel
have a future
that's safe and real.

But can we be
as you want us to
always happy
and never blue?

I worry about
the love in our hearts
I always have
right from the start.

Can it last
and be all we need
or will we feel as slaves
longing to be free?

I wish I could see
what the future will hold
and see the secretsof happiness
turn back and unfold.

But together we can
meet whatever's to be faced
praying our faith in each other
is not misplaced.

A Place In Me

From across a room
I saw a face
an angel had touched
with his grace.

I looked again
with a start
a smile lit the room
and touched my heart.

And on that very
very special morn
a friend was found
a friend was born.

A place in me
I thought long gone
has come alive
and now has grown.

A place of laughter
and of fun
a place of memories
of being young.

A place with hope
and a gleaming eye
wishes on a star
high in the sky.

And even if I
never find it again
I'll have another memory
....and then.....

I'll thank you
as each day's past
for another treasure
that will always last.

then steal away

The wind brushes
against my face

a gentle trace.

But that is all

to run and hide

I kissed the moon
I touched a star
I felt your love
was not very far.

You made me smile
you made me see
that love is real
when strong and free.

I hid away my heart
as to feel no pain
then you came along
and found it again.

You touched my soul
you felt my heart
now you say
we'll never part.

I feel the love
I feel the fear
wondering still
if you're really here.

But trust I must
this heart of mine
for without trust
love will not be mine.

So hand in hand
we shall go
into the future
and hopefully grow;

And make a world
all our own
full of dreams
