Request for Peace
Light a blue candle and burn some jasmine incense. Chant:
"I strive toward Spirit again and again,
With faltering steps, unsure of the way.
Ganesha, I ask you that you open the gates of enlightenment.
Make for me a new day,
Of karmic purpose, goal, and wisdom,
A path to a new Earth Soul.
As I will it, so mote it be."
Meditate on peace and visualize a protective, peaceful blue cloud surrounding yourself. Imagine Ganesha healing your soul and mind.
The night before your journey, set up your altar to Ganesha. Get a small magickal bag and fill it with Dragon's Blood powder, frankincense, rosemary, vervain, a small picture, statue or image of Ganesha. You can also make multiple talismans to put in each of your luggage. Visualize Ganesha protecting you on your journey.
Light a candle (any color) that represents you, 2 white candles, 2 purple candles, and sandalwood incense.
"My Lord Ganesha, arise!
Watch over me with keenest eyes.
As I travel, shed your light
And keep me safe both day and night.
Watch over my belongings please
And grant my trip be filled with peace.
Protect me for I am your own
Then guide me safely back home."
"Lord Ganesha,
Guardian of wisdom and powers of creativity,
Send your strength and your grace to me.
Cover me with soft light and brilliant peace.
Give my heart the courage, the comfort,
The beauty of the world in which I shine.
Let my candle be taller, brighter,
More illuminating than ever before.
And let it grow and rise in the love you send my way.
Let my heart beat with yours and
Join in the communion of God and devotee."
