Madrone Canyon Hike

Cool Canyons and Ridge-top views.  We’ll hike a loop over the new King Mtn. trail, down through Madrone Canyon and return via Corte Madera Ridge.  Moderate /Strenuous hike.  Meet at 10:30am in front of the Lark theatre, Downtown Larkspur. For more info call Chris at (415) 927-0751.

Explore Angel Island

Hike Angel Island in the middle of SF Bay!  Approximately 6-8 miles hiking.

From SF take the 9:30am Blue & Gold Angel Island ferry from Pier 41 direct to Angel Island ($11/RT).  Or, from Tiburon, take the 10:00am Tiburon-Angel Island ferry ($7/RT).  We will meet at the snack bar at Ayala Cove at 10:20am.   Bring lots of water, food for a picnic lunch, and sun/fog protection.  For more info, call Chris Kelly at (415) 927-0751.

Montara Mountain Hike

Strenous hike to the top of Montara Mtn (1898'). 6 miles roundtrip.  May be cold, windy, foggy or hot, sunny.  Bring LOTS of water, lunch, treats to share.  Meet at 11am, Montara State Beach North parking lot, just South of Devil's Slide, and W. of Hwy. 1.  Call Mark at (415) 550-4060 info./carpool

Mt. Tam / Coastal Trail Hike

We’ll hike the Coastal Trail on the Pacific side of Mt. Tam, and have lunch with a great view of the Coast.  About 7 mi. total.  Meet at PanToll Ranger Station on Panoramic Hwy. at 10:30 am.  (parking fee).  G.G.  bus service available (Bus #20 from G.G. Lake Lagunitas Picnic Hike

Good food, company, scenery. Start with a picnic, then hike around the three lakes nearby (around 5.5 miles).  Meet at 11am at the Lk. Lagunitas parking lot in the Marin Watershed ($5 fee/car).  Dir: from town of Fairfax in Marin go West  +1mile on Bolinas Rd.; L at Sky Oaks ("Lake Lagunitas" sign).  [Note: you will drive by "Bolinas Ave." in San Anselmo.]  Chris at (415) 927-O751 can give you more info/directions.

Sunol Regional Wilderness Hike

A brisk ten miles in the steep hills of this oak-and-grassland park.  Bring lots of water, lunch (and/or treats to share).  From I-680 at Sunol, take Calaveras Road south, make a left onto Geary Road, pay the fee at the Park entrance, then turn left into the Visitor Centre.  Please check our Website: www.geocities.com/Yosemite/Rapids/9643 or call Peter Wijeratne at (650)572-9551 a week before the hike to confirm the meeting time. Mt. Diablo Hike

A great time of the year to check out Mount Diablo!  Experience glorious views, constantly changing scenery, including fall colors, canyons and sandstone formations as we hike out to Oyster Point.  Round trip of 8.8 miles; the total climb is 1750 feet on up-and-down terrain.  Bring LOTS of water and lunch.  Starts at 10:00.  Call Karen Hunt at (925) 934-8006 for car pooling/directions.

Muir Beach to Tennesse Cove Hike

Tule Elk Reserve Hike

Spectacular ridge trail hike in the heart of elk country.  This 5 mile hike offers 3600 views and a chance to see the wild elk herds.  Park at the historic Pierce Point Ranch at the end of Pierce Point Rd. in Point Reyes National Seashore.  Dress in layers for variable (esp.windy) weather.  Bring a hat, lots of water, and food.  Start time 10:30am.  For more info call Toni at (415) 453-6368.
