July 2 Sunday: Sibley Volcanic Preserve Hike
Berkeley Hills hike. Redwood Park to Sibley Volcanic Preserve -10 million yrs ago this nearby Berkeley preserve was the source of most of the lavas that underlie the East Bay. From Bay Bridge take 580 to 24, then 13 south. Take Park exit, turn left and then left on Mountain. Right on Snake (1st light) which becomes Shepherd Canyon. Right at Skyline, and 1/3 mile to the Redwood parking lot. Meet 11am. In Berkeley, go east on Ashby, take 13 South and follow directions as above.

July 30 Sunday: Mt Tam
Meet at Mt Home Inn. Take the Stinson Beach/Hwy 1 exit from 101 in Mill Valley. After 1 mile, turn left at stoplight (staying on Hwy 1).After 2.5 miles, turn right onto Panoramic Hwy and go 3 miles to the parking lot. Meet 10:30am.

August 13 Sunday: Mt Tam - Steep Ravine
This spectacular 7 mile hike starts in Stinson Beach, climbs scenic Steep Ravine, and descends via the Matt Davis. Relax on the beach after the hike! Meet in front of the Stinson Beach Firehouse on Hwy 1 at 11am.

August 27 Sunday: Bass Lake/Alamere Falls.
8 mile hike to Alamere Falls via Bass Lake. Swimming if weather permits. Bring water/lunch and snack to share. Meet 11:00 am at Palomarin Trailhead.

September 16 Saturday: Marin Headlands Evening Hike
9 mile loop from Tennessee Valley to Muir Beach via Green Gulch/Coyote Ridge trails. Beautiful vistas and good workout. Bring food/water and snack to share. Meet 5:30pm at Tennessee Valley.

September 24 Sunday: Samuel P. Taylor State Park
A 6 mile moderate hike to Barnabe Peak with awesome views. Hike through fern forests and view a serene waterfall. Take Hwy 101 to Sir Francis Drake exit. Go west 15 miles through the entrance of Samuel P. Taylor state park. About 1 mile into the park, you will see a sign for Devils Gulch Horse camp. Park in the dirt pulloff here to avoid $5 parking fee. Meet at 10:30am. Please bring water, lunch, and food to share.

October 1 Sunday: Mt Tam
Meet at the Rock Springs parking lot on Mt. Tam at 11am. Take the Stinson Beach/Hwy 1 exit from 101 in Mill Valley. After 1 mile, turn left at stoplight (staying on Hwy 1). After 2.5 miles, turn right onto Panoramic Hwy. At the Pantoll Ranger Station (on left), take a right up the mountain & cross the intersection to the Rock Springs dirt parking lot straight ahead.

October 22 Sunday: Mt Tam
Mt Tam hike starting in Mill Valley. We will stop for lunch at the Tourist Club (bring your food, drinks are available for purchase). Meet 10:30am.

November 5 Sunday: Tomales Bay - Tule Elk Reserve
Spectacular ridge trail hike in the heart of elk country. This 5 mile hike offers 360 views and a chance to see the wild elk herds. Park at the historic Pierce Point Ranch at the end of Pierce Point Rd. in Point Reyes National Seashore. Dress in layers for variable (esp. windy) weather. 11am.

November 12 Sunday: Redwood Park
Berkeley hills hike. From Bay Bridge follow 580 to Oakland, take the 35th Ave exit, turn left and head east towards hills (becomes Redwood Road). Cross Skyline Blvd and go 2 miles to the MacDonald Staging Area parking lot on the right. Meet 10:30am. In Berkeley, go east on Ashby, take 13 South, Redwood Road exit and follow directions as above.
