Here's some general advice about whether or not to breed rats and if you do decide to there's lots of FAQ's about breeding.

Many of the toys available for rodents are designed for hampsters which can be way to small for rats to use also they can be soooo expensive, I have a page of DIY rat toys with ideas to keep your rat amused.
