Want to talk about Slayers? Well, you're NOT in luck. Unlike many other fandoms, Slayers lacks a centralized discussion list and a centralized fanfic list. Instead there are a multitude of different lists. I'm aware that the distinction is not always maintained very well. But by putting them all together, you can get a pretty satisfying list experience. I'm not listing any lists with extremely low traffic, especially if they repeat other the topics of other lists, lists used for announcements of things like webpage updates, or RPGs. If you have any links to lists that a) Deal primarily with Slayers b)are of fairly high traffic, or if not, are of fairly original conception and not about RPing and c) are in English, please send them to me.

Purpose: To post and discuss Slayers fanfiction
Misc. notes: Run off Yahoogroups. Currently averaging around 300
posts per month, though less in the past. Lots of chatting
apparently, although substantial amounts of fanfic also posted.
Unmoderated. I'd recommend this list to people who enjoy fanfiction
and have a tolerance for a moderate level of fannishness. Diverse
selection of fanfics.

Purpose: Slayer discussion group
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups. Mostly dead, though may revive in future.
Used to discuss variety of general topics. Moderated.
Name: ZXV-Lovers
Purpose: To discuss and post fics/art about Zelgadis, Xelloss, and
Valgaav
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups. Very low traffic. Chatty and fannish.
Apparently yaoi friendly. If you have a good tolerance for
fangirlishness (come on, given these three characters), this might be
a nice list to join.
Name: Xelloss
Lovers
Purpose: Discussion of Xelloss and Slayers
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups. Read rules before joining; they are fairly
specific. Averages around 200 posts per month. If you really like
Xelloss, this might be a good list to join.
Name: Zellinaxeros
ML TARGET="_top"
Purpose: Discussion/posting of Slayers fanworks.
Misc. notes: Despite the title, this is not about a ménage
à trois involving the three. Around five or so messages a day,
but volume varies a lot. Pretty much an anything goes fanfic ML with
any kind of fanfic of any genre allowed. Has some amount of
chattiness. Large membership.

TRAD Mailing List
Purpose: To discuss and post fanfic/art about the Gourry/Lina and
Zel/Amelia couples
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups. Very high traffic, around 600-800 messages
per month. Lots of chatting/OT, apparently. Obviously, if you don't
like romance, and these romances in particular, this is not the place
for you. List only for strong "supporters," apparently not for people
who like Zelgaldis/Lina, even if they also like Gourry/Lina or
Zel/Amelia.
Name: Odd
Slayers Couples
Purpose: To discuss and post fanfic/art about non-canonical Slayers
romantic pairings
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups. Around 70 messages per month. Fair amount
of OT. If you can't stand non-canon, don't go here. Opposite of the
TRAD list, I'd guess. As with any couple centered list, this may
contain lemons, or discussion of sexual subjects.

Purpose: To discuss and post fanworks dealing with any Slayers yaoi
couple
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups. Around 40 or so messages per month. If you
don't know what yaoi is, educate yourself before joining. If you join
simply to harass yaoi fans, you are an example of the decreased
civility of our times.

Zelgaldis ML
Purpose: To discuss and post fanworks centering around Xelloss and
Zelgadis
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups. List seems to be yaoi friendly, but not
primarily about yaoi. Traffic of around 40 posts per month.

Purpose: Discussion and fanworks dealing with the Xelloss/Filia
couple
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups. Traffic of around 400 posts per month.
List fairly chatty, with a lot of OT discussion. If you enjoy
chatting about X/F related topics, this may be useful, if you don't
mind the OTness.

and Gourry Yaoi ML
Purpose: Discussion and posting of fanworks with Gourry/Zelgadis

Misc. notes: Topica run. Traffic of around one post per day.
Obviously you should know what yaoi is. The list carries adult
material. Join at your own discretion.

Yaoi ML
Purpose: To discuss and post fanworks about the Xellos/Zelgadis yaoi

Misc. notes: Yahoogroups. Traffic of around 100 posts per month. If
you don't like yaoi, you obviously should not go here. If you do,
this is a good place to get fanfic.

Purpose: Discussion/Fanworks of Zelgadis/Amelia couple
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups run. Traffic of around 100 or so posts per
month. If you enjoy talking about this couple, or reading fanfiction
and fanworks about them, this list may be for you (gosh, the more of
these things I write, the cornier I sound).

Purpose: Discussion/Fanworks of Lina/Sylphiel couple
Misc. notes: Yahoo groups run. Low traffic, <50 per month. If you
can't stand yuri, you obviously should not join.
Name: Lina/Zel ML
Purpose: Posting of fanworks dealing with Zelgadis/Lina couple.
Misc. notes: Listbot run. According to sources, very low traffic,
mostly fanfics. If you don't like this couple, then you obviously
should not join.
