Since 1996, Mary Beth
Cavert has been an internationally recognized scholar on Canadian
author, L.M. Montgomery (Anne of Green Gables, 1908). She has
contributed to the research included in The Selected Journals of
L.M. Montgomery (Volumes 4 and 5, Oxford University Press), edited
by Dr. Mary Rubio and Dr. Elizabeth Waterston. She is a chapter author
in The Lucy Maud Montgomery Album (by Dr. Kevin McCabe,
Fitzhenry and Whiteside, 1999) and in the book, The Intimate Life
of L.M. Montgomery (edited by Dr. Irene Gammel, University of
Toronto Press, 2005). A second edition of The Intimate Life
was published in November 2005. Ms. Cavert was a plenary presenter at
the second and sixth international conferences hosted by the L.M.
Montgomery Institute at the University of Prince Edward Island. She
writes and edits the newsletter of the L M. Montgomery Literary
Society, The Shining Scroll.
