Tengwar Fonts

The fonts in the table below represent a selection of those available on the Web. It is a personal selection based on my own aesthetic opinions. They are shown in alphabetical order, and all work according to Dan Smith's keyboard mapping, which has become the standard for new creations among Elvish linguists. The reasons for using this mapping are explained by Smith.

Links are given to the pages where the fonts are described and may be downloaded. Most are more or less under development. All font names begin with Tengwar, followed by the word in the table. The authors are mentioned below the respective font names. Tengwar Annatar has a separate italic form. Tengwar Teleri is based on swans' shapes.

As fontes da tabela abaixo representam uma seleção das que estão disponíveis na Web. É uma seleção pessoal baseada em minhas próprias opiniões estéticas. Estão mostradas em ordem alfabética, e todas funcionam de acordo com o mapeamento de teclado de Dan Smith, que se tornou o padrão para novas criações entre os lingüistas élficos. Tengwar Teleri baseia-se em formas de cisnes.
