Best quote: "His destructive programming is taking effect. He will be irresistibly drawn to large cities where he will back up sewers, reverse street signs, and steal everyone's left shoe. " -Dr. Jumba Experement 626 (Chris Sanders) is a monster; it was created by an evil alien genius, Dr. Jumba (David Ogden Stiers). He can lift three times his own weight, and can think faster than a super computer, but he is evil. Very evil.

In custody, 626 is sentanced to spend eternity on a barren asteroid. The only problem is that it escapes, and crash lands on an unknown planet named "e-areth" (Earth). This is where he meets a hellion of a young girl named Lilo Daveigh Chase), who lives with her older sister, Nani (Tia Carrere).

Lilo "adopts" 626 from a dog pound (who rescued him after he was hit by three trucks) and promptly names the little puppy "Stitch."

Lilo is a wild-child; Stitch is the Devil in blue fur. Together, Lilo and Stich make trouble for Nani as she looses her job and then can't get another one... right when she is trying to gain custody Lilo (No thanks to a child services agent named Cobra Bubbles (Ving Rhames). To make matters worse, the aliens who tried to imprison Stitch have come to Earth to regain custody of Stitch, be he is prooving too hard to capture.

This begins a delightful romp with many aliens, spaceships, lasers, Hawaiian music and surfing.

Lilo & Stitch is one of Disney's better animated features to come out in recent years; it is probably the best one since Pocahontas (not counting ones done by Pixar). It has everything: Great animation, wonderful characters, and a great story to back it up.

It is rare to see such a brilliant character like Stitch to come about; a character along the lines of Bambi, Baloo, or even Simba, who will be a main character and stay in the mainstream for a long time to come.

Plot:
Disney finally came up with a movie that pleases and is funny too. It has great characters and the story makes sense. It's a real winner.

Animation:
It is not Disney's best animation, but it stillvery good. there are nice water color backgrounds, and they even took the time to animate all the steps in the hula dances exactly as they are performed in real life. Stitch is, quite possibly, the best animated character they've ever had, next to the ledgendary Tinker Bell.

Sound:
Sound effects are great; they all sound futuristic and just plain neat-o. The Hawaiian songs are just awesome, and even the Elvis songs add a great deal. The best song is Burnin' Love, performed by Wynonna Judd, a cover of the great hit Elvis song.

Character Development:
All of the major characters, and even most of the minor characters, go through major changes, but Stitch, Lilo and Nani change the most.

Lilo is a wild child, and is hard to control, but as she lives with Stitch she learns how to behave, because she can see how bad Stitch is being, and she doesn't want to be broken up from her sister, Nani.

Stitch is the Tasmanian Devil on steroids. He is rude, crude, and has a terrible attitude. He wrecks everything in site, and nothing calms him down. (Although, being on an island without large cities does slow him down a bit.) Stitch can't stop his destructive ways. But once he reads "The Ugly Duckling" he does start to realize that he is the ugly duckling, and that he just wants to fit in. At first he doesn't like Lilo, but as the movie progresses, he realizes that he does like Lilo, and will protect her, because she protects him. Stitch really makes a big change.

Nani likes this guy she met at her former job who is always pestering her for a date. As she progresses, and after he helps her several times, she he kinda grows on her, and eventually, she lets him into her life.

Atmosphere:
The music certainly gets you into the film, as it plays almost right from the word go. The vast variety of aliens also adds to the story.

Aside from all of this, isn't Stitch the coolest character you ever saw?

Realism:
Disney Animated Features don't have to be realistic to be cool. This one is very cool. Hey, it's science fiction.
