Best Quote: "What is something you really want?" "Chelsea Clinton." "That's a tough order, dude." "You'd have a better shot at Bill." - Coop, Joey, Coop & Reemer

In order to score a couple of chicks away from two jocks, Joe Cooper (Trey Parker) and Doug Remer (Matt Stone) invent a game on-the-spot. The game is a cross between Basketball and Baseball, called BASEketball.

THis game becomes a national phenomenon, and propells "Coop" and "Remer" to stardom. A Profesional league is created, and teams from all over the country are formed. However, when money comes knocking, Coop and Remer don't see eye to eye.

Their argument may cause their own team, the Milwaukee "Beers" (nice pun), to loose the championship. If the Beers don't win, Coop will loose control of the team forever.

Personal Comments

BASEketball is a tremedously funny movie. And why not? It was made by the Zuckers... most notable for their trilogy of Naked Gun films.

Matt Stone and Trey Parker, notable for their producing the show South Park and the movie South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut. As funny as they are producing, they are as funny acting. Not only do they NOT look like actors, but they act as if they are regular people.

I had doubts when I watched this film. I'll admit that. I was pleasently surprised at the level of comedy, and the way they mixed in the comedy with the plot.

Plot:
There are times in the film were the gross-out comedy just takes over the scence, and then there are times when the plot goes really sappy (which I do not like).

Still, this is a very funny film.

Visual Effects:
Pretty plain and average.

Sound:
all of the songs throughout the film work well together (there are a couple of them), including the song "Take on Me, a classic 80's song, which is covered by Reel Big Fish.

Did you notice that Trey and Matt sometimes use voices from South Park when theya re talking? One time Cartman's voice is used, another time Mr. Garison's voice is used. A Very nice little touch to each respective scene.

Character Development:
We difinatly see a change in Coop and Remer. They start out as slackers and turn their lives around with the help of BASEketball. They have a falling out in the middle of the picture but theings are always resolved (you know it will be), and the best friends are back to being friends instead of enemies.

Atmosphere:
The film is funny from start to finish; you won't be dissapointed. It is as funny as it looks.

Realism:
