It was extremely frustrating being a Rangers supporter living in Central Florida, and being unable to watch our beloved team play live. The founding members decided to join NARSA, form a club, and seek an establishment where we could beam live via satellite, all games involving Rangers.
The hardest part was finding a pub owner interested enough to become involved, and allow us to use their premises to show the games. Thankfully, Jan Huet, owner of the Fox and Hounds English Pub in Kissimmee, volunteered to allow the Rangers games to be shown there. Jan, along with his wife Erica have been gracious hosts and have made everyone welcome.
Each game we receive via satellite comes at a considerable monetary cost and as a result, we, like every other NARSA club, have to charge a nominal cover charge for each game. Very rarely do supporters object to have to pay for the privelage to watch every Rangers game live on TV so far from home. We are extremely grateful to those who show up year after year at the pub, which in turn helps us all to see the games and keep our club in existance. If you ever feel that paying a cover charge will upset you, then please do not embarrass yourself or other loyal supporters by coming along and insulting us. We will not tolerate it!
Club members very rarely meet at the pub outside match days, due to many living so far away. The Fox and Hounds is an English Pub with friendly bar staff, good food, and drinks fairly priced. It is not a decorated Rangers pub but merely somewhere our club is thankful to host live broadcast games. Feel free to stop by there at any time, the staff there make everyone welcome.
