| Photo #10: The manzanita, in most places , was bearing a small red berry...Just before I took this photo I had passed by a granite boulder containing a sizeable quartz vein... This section reminded me of taking walks in the autumn at a small park near Penryn, CA much further north in the foothills of the Sierras. |

| Photo #12: The runner ahead of me was wearing a Baldy Peaks jacket... we ran together for a short section before Dale's Kitchen (up until I took my one and only fall... luckily I fell into a soft pile of dirt ) and then I caught up with him again at Dales. We ran together for about a 0.5mi or so out of Dale's until I stopped to take a photo. |
