You walk along the trail carefully, the sound of water draws near from ahead. The sun shines and the land flattens out until the trees are gone and there is a sweet green grass under your feet. You walk into a large clearing surrounded by ivy covered trees. A fountain bubbles in the middle and the sun shines warmly on your back. Suddenly a creature walks up to you!
"Hello traveler! I see you have discovered the glades of the Melcey of this realm." you blink, Melcey? She smiles at your confusion, "Melcey are feline and canine mixes, with elemental powers. Like water elements control waters, and earth have the power of earthquakes." You nod. "My name's Iliya, a water melecy. I was the first to arrive in the haven." she bats at a passing butterfly and returns to you. "My father is the guardian of the passway to here. He must have trusted you to let you pass." you remeber the bright green and blue melcey near the path head, and nod.
Suddenly a flash of movement catches your eye as a dark red and purple melcey chases a dragonfly around the fountain, he is graceful and agile as he swipes and lunges for the insect.
Suddenly he trips over his feet falls into the fountain! He walks out dripping as he shakes the water off his long hair. Iliya notices you watching him. "Oh, that's just Immaron, the newest member to journey here. He is quite the acrobat if he chooses to be. And has a fine snese of humor, equally matched by his temper. None the less he's a fire type." You nod and watch the sulking melecy dryn of in the warm sun, he looks up and sees you, with a raised eyebrow he stres, then tears off for the dense underbrush. "And very antisocial. Sorry traveler, you might have better luck with another melecy." you sigh and turn to go. Iliya stops you, "You're welcome to stay, but there's nobody else here, I myself must be leaving. Farewell." and she walks off into the underbrush as well. You are about to leave the peaceful grove yourself when you see a purple and tan melcey move curiously in. She looks around for signs of danger, then walks into the grove to sleep. You watch her, wondering who she is. She looks up suddenly, as if knowing you were watching her, then she stands at her feet and flicks her tail.
"Greetings traveler." she says, her voice is a small and quiet one. But she says it boldly, like she has seen you before. "I see you have come to the haven, likely in peace if Iliya knows you." you nod, she comes up to sniff you warily. "My name is Jiseki, a earth melecy." she shakes her fur and takes a sip from the fountain where Immaron feel in. She dips her fur in the water, then washes her face with it. "It's been nice living here, quiet except when Phinx is being mischevious.
Just then another mel trots up, sniffing you with a small yelping sound she makes in the back of her throat. Jiseki smiles, nudging the newcomer towards you. She bouces up quickly and noses you in the face, making you laugh. "'Lo!" she greets, flicking her white and pink spotted tail. She has these same markings all over her body.
Jiskeki chuckles, "Now now Aetine, you don't have to be social..." but the smaller pup just wags and stares. The with a guesture she talks quickly, "Well, you must have gathered I'm Aetine, a candy mel, see?" hse shows her her candy-like markings with flamboiancy. Jiseki judges her off with a shrug "You don't want to trample them, do you?" and she pushes Aetine out into the bushes. You wave a goodbye and walk back into the forest..
