You walk away from the fires into a forested area. After walking for some time you emerge in a small pand area. The moonight reflects light into the murky waters, and the clouds look at themselves in the glow. Frogs and crickets serenade in the darkness of cattails in the water. A fish jumps for a fly and sends a spray of crystaline water into the air, it glimmers like falling stars. You sit on a rock in the water and watch the lightning bugs and dragonflies flit around in the night when a medium sized creature flies down and takes a drink of the water, you watch it until it sees you and walks over.
It walks up and sniffs you, then smiles. "Hello traveler, welcome to Minisaizu pond. I see you have traveled far, please, you are welcome to stay." you nod and scratch the creature's head. She grins and sits up on another rock near you. Her fur is long and blue, and her ears resemble a rabbit's. The most remarkable thing about her is the white dragonfly markings on her side. "My name is Hotaru, or Firefly. Named after the markings on my sides. I'm a Minisaizu Gryphon. " she grins again, and stares at the moon. You nod, scratch her head, and walk off; not wanting to disturb the little creature any more. You walk on.
