A Rainforest....

You walk through a hot rainforest, the smell of bird of paradise flowers drift around in the humid air. A flash of a colored parrot catches you eye, or a slithering of a garter snake. A cooler mist drifts quietly around the warm rainforest, causing steam to form and drops of condensation to fall from leaves above your head. The trees are tall and thick, their large leaves create a dark conapy which the sun leaks through occasionally.

A rumble of thunder is heard sometimes, signaling the flooding season if drawing near. You follow the root covered trail out into an open feild surrounded by trees. A forest antelope grazes, but sees you and bounds away. Small flowering weeds sprout with the recent rain, and the clouds hint the next dreary fall again.

You try to picture the forest after a rainfall, the flowers opening up. Hummingbirds catching the nectar before it's to late; bumble bees going for the same goal in a different area. Trees drip with wet leaves, creating musical green puddle that reflect the leaves of the trees, but are rippled with another drop. Small equines come to drink in the safty of the forest, and wild cats to get their fill of meat.

Your thoughts are interrupted by the loud thunder, and a flash of lightning. The storm draws nearer and quickly. You hurry to the safety of the trees on the other side of the meadow.

A shreek of a parrot as it flies away to another tree makes you jump. You follow it to a large cave where the floor is dry, meaing it doesn't leak. Thinking to use it as a hideout you go inside. But instead of a dark cave you see a large lighted cavern with a tablet at the end, it reads

"A time will come when the forest will grow lonely for attention and care. A guardian will come, maybe more, to keep the forest in good hands. We await the time when a leagus will come to keep the forest safe."
you finish reading the tablet and wondering what a Leagus is, and when it will come. But the rain starts and you have a feeling you should be heading home
