About the Star Wars Saga

George Lucas & Co. are not done yet..

Some time in 2008 we should be getting our first 1-hour show of the yet untitled "Star Wars TV".

100 TV shows are to be made for TV dealing with the years in between Episode III and IV.

Only Anthony Daniels of the currently known actors have so far (April 2006) signed on.

The series is supposed to deal with characters we have not seen before or have just seen in the background... (can anyone say Boba Fett by the time you get to show #50 or so...)

Spoof:

Make SURE you check out the "TROOPS" section at theforce.net for a nice spin on the TV show "Cops". Trust me, you'll never look the same at an Imperial Stormtrooper again.

The internet is full Star Wars webbies. In my humble opinion, only two are grand and good enough to spend time at. They are: www.theforce.net and, of course, the ultimate power in cyberia on this topic, the  Official Star Wars site.

If you don't know it already, I'll run it by you really quick:

The movie known as "Star Wars" is, in the greater scheme of things actually chapter four in a six part saga, possibly entitled "The adventures of Luke Skywalker's taken from the Journal of the Whills."
The original scripts were written in the early 70s of which the first complete one is about "Starkiller" and that entire script - in all it's hoakeyness - is available for you to read right here.
Chapter 4 is entitled "A New Hope." Chapter 5 is "The Empire Strikes Back" and chapter 6 then becomes "Return of the Jedi".
"A New Hope" was first released on May 25th, 1977 and then later in a re-hashed version called the "Special Edition" for the flick's 20:th anniversary on January 31st 1997. The Special Editions for "Empire" and "Jedi" followed in three-week intervals thereafter.

Episodes I, II and III are so-called prequels. This means they take place before the events of "the original Star Wars movie" (Episode IV "A New Hope").
Episode I is called "The Phantom Menace" and takes place 30 years before the events of "the original Star Wars. It chronicles the events of how Anakin Skywalker was discovered and the re-emergence of the Sith.
Episode II is named "Attack of the Clones" and takes place 10 years later. It tells the story of how the now 19 year-old Anakin falls in love with the former queen of Naboo, Padme Nabierre. They marry in the final moment of the movie. The back drop are the events leading up to and the beginning of the Clone Wars.
Episode III takes place exactly 3 years later at the tail end of the Clone Wars, it is called "Revenge of the Sith" and tells the story of how Anakin succumbs to the dark side, how Vader became Vader, how Padme dies and how the Jedi are (mostly) wiped out.

There!
