The chief features of the system are:

1. Weak two bids with a range of 9-12 points. New suit responses are forcing. Two no trump and single raises are encouraging.
2. Major suit openings promise five cards. One spade, one heart, and one diamond show 15-23 points including distribution. One level rebids normally show 15-17, two level rebids 18-20, and three level rebids 21-23, but a single raise counts as a one level rebid, and so on.
3. A response to a suit bid may have as little as 4 high card points, and can be artificial. A jump raise or a jump in a new suit is preemptive. One no trump response is weak, showing a lower ranking suit of at least six cards.
4. One club shows at least 12 points including distribution. A one over one response is non forcing.
5. Weak no trump.
