A SKETCH AND HISTORY OF
OUR COLONIAL ANCESTORS
FROM 1619 TO 1799
Our Colonial Ancestors is the latest and most accurate history and genealogy of the PACE FAMILY ever written and offered to descendants of Richard Pace of Virginia.
It begins with a critical study of Richard and Isabella Pace; George and Sarah Pace; John Pace of Middlesex County; Caesar and Elizabeth Walpole; Richard and Mary [Baker] Pace, and their sons, Richard, George, James, Thomas and John. The mystery of Frederick Pace is unraveled; the confusion behind the Solomon Strickland and Amy Pace marriage is solved, plus many other unsolved mysteries of the past are solved by the author.
You will find such names as Aldredge, Alford, Anderson, Baker, Bray, Burge, Callier, Chieves, Connell, Epes/Epps, Fain, Garrott, Haggard, Jarvis, Jones, Leonard, Loving, Lowe, Macock/Maycocke, Menefie, McKean/McKeen, Mountcastle, Nance, Perry, Phillips, Pigg, Poythress, Rainwater, Russell, Smith, Smyth, Stennett, Strickland Stringer, Tennison, Tyler, Walker, Wall, Wallace, Walpole, Whitehead, Whittmore, Woodlief, Woodruff, and many more too numerous to mention here.
The large appendix will contain transcripts of the actual records in full, in most cases, with full explanations on several points in controversy. You will find records and material that no one has ever found or used before; important information and documents that will help you in your own research. I think you will find something here of great importance, other than just names and dates.
All of the research has been conducted over the past twenty or so years by a professional genealogist, yours truly, who is also a descendant of this family and who has a vested interest in getting it right and learning everything possible to give you an accurate history of the PACE FAMILY.
The purpose of this book is quite simple. It has been my purpose over all these many years to either confirm or correct the many mistakes, guesses and wrong assumptions published by so many others in the past about Our Colonial Ancestors. The research has been conducted by myself, for this very informative book, traveling thousands of miles over several years from Virginia to Texas, from Missouri to the Gulf of Mexico, and everything in between, working in courthouses, State Archives and libraries, going to the actual locations where our ancestors once lived, worked and died; anywhere the trail led me.
For the new genealogist, you will learn the history and background of your early ancestors; for the experienced genealogist my conclusions will confirm your suspicions that you have carried for many years but could never find the right answer to solve the mystery. I have no doubt that some few will be a little upset because the many things they have been led to believe were correct are now proven, and shown, to be incorrect. That is not the fault of the genealogist, but the fault of the few who have published incorrect information in the past.
My book is printed in the standard book format, 8 Octavo in size [6 x 9 inches]; 520 pages, printed on acid free, 60 pound book weight paper with a shelf life of eighty plus years; hard bound in quality cloth and some in real leather, gold foil stamped title on front and on the spine.
There will be numerous photos and original rare graphics throughout the text and the appendix. I have also included a glossary of 17th and 18th Century terms and calendar dates, followed by an index.
When is the last time you have been offered a book of this high quality and with so much information? You will not be disappointed, I guarantee it.
NOTE: Now is the time to order your copy while there are still copies left to order. When they are sold out, no more will be printed. I encourage you to act now and get your copy ordered today.
