 Wisdom, by Old Man Dave

Week 3

"The Golden Rule"

 With age comes experience.

 With experience comes knowledge.

With knowledge comes Wisdom.

The Golden Rule:  "Don't fringe on anyone else's buzz".

This includes, but is not limited to:

Keep to your own space!  Everyone has room to dance the night away, even if your neighbors just doin' the sway.  It doesn't mean he/she isn't having the experience of a lifetime.  (this excludes those that need to be in the first 3 rows, your screwed for space!)

If you must talk about your Hellish ride to the venue, your last Ween show (not that I'm knocking Ween), or how cool the present show is, do at set break, or even after the show.  If you just can't wait till then, for Pete's sake don't scream, rant and rave about it when there is someone next to you (or all around you) who are soo into the music that they forgot they were even standing on solid ground!  THAT is the very definition of a Buzz Kill.

Glow sticks have to go!  They were first started years ago to visually enhance a certain song, at a perfect moment in that song, to the complete surprise to most everyone at the show.  It was beautiful.  Now I'm wondering just when I'm gonna get pegged in the EYE with a painful projectile!  Talk about a Buzz Kill.  I mean, come on, three, four, even five glow stick wars in one show?  It's become more of an annoyance than a surprise.  (the mini glow sticks that were used in California are at least not going to injure anyone).

We're there for one reason, at least most of us are and you can be too, that's to find out what it's all about.  The only way to do it is to let PHISH take control for a few hours.  Then spend the next day, week, or even year trying to figure out what exactly happened to you at that show that changed the way you saw everything and everyone.
