"The start was in
time at 19:30 hr. This way,
the blond singer, who wore a white blouse
and a black outfit appeared on stage to
inmediately come down where more than
8 thousand persons screamed her name.
Surprisingly for the public, she performed
her first melody as she walk on the corridors
allowing to be hugged and kissed by her fans.
The singer, who fought in the 80's for the
pop stardom along with Madonna,
showed her satisfaction from the first
moment when she was welcomed by people.
Although she came along with her band,
Cindy
played guitar, flute and other
instruments in some of the melodies." |
"Always in comunication with the public, Lauper remembered
when she
performed in
México in 1989,
it was an outdoors performance, so when
she sang, the dirt entered in her mouth.
As the concert run, Cindy
was even more open-hearted to the people,
and before the performance of one of her biggest hits "True
Colors",
she commented she wrote that song certain day when her sister decided
to confess her family she was a lesbian.
The singer said it was a hard day for all her family, but since then
she understood that all the persons are equal because they
have the same feelings.
In that moment, the public blew up with screams and applauses and
ended the melody with the audience standing up,
Cindy didn't contain
the emotion and cried.
Since then the public didn't stop to dance and applaud each of the
songs.
Lauper
tried to leave the stage, but the euphoric people were screaming
at her to come back, since she couldn't leave without performing
the
song the majority expected for hours: "Girls Just Want To
Have Fun",
so Cindy
came back to please her fans.
The singer concluded her performance at 20:30 hr."
