Storm Mountain

After the huge feast and extensive talking, you're really quite exahausted.  The highlight of the evening being when Baby Magic Star, being hidden in the cake, burst out just as Lickety Split was slicing a piece, and gave nearly everyone a heart attack, you chuckle.  Altough she recieved a severe reprimand from her mother, it was entertaining.           As you walk down the deserted hallway to your room, you can still hear Bubbles complaining and yelling at Baby Magic Star for getting bits of cake in her hair.  You open your door and change quickly into your pajamas.  As you peel back the fresh covers on your bed, a clap of thunder rips through the sky, making you jump about five feet off the ground.  You hear the ponies scream downstairs, followed by Magic Star's voice trying to calm them down.
Crawling into bed and finally settling down, you are on the verge of sleep.  Then another crash of thunder makes you jump again.  This continues all through out the night until you are finally sick of it and decide to venture elsewhere.  Pulling on a robe and some slippers, you walk out of your room.
It is completely dark and dead silent.  Frightened, your senses become more keen and alert.  You listen for any creak, groan, or noise whatsoever... and there is none.  Suddenly, another rip of  thunder breaks the through the air, and you let out a scream.  Shaking like crazy, you wonder if you should go back.  You finally decide against it and keep exploring.  You venture to the hall where you found Star Gazer, and open the door.  You go outside and see no one.  The cold rain hits your face lightly, which is odd because even though it only seems to be sprinkling, thunder and lightning are extremely abundant.
Out of no where, a winged pony, black as pitch with bright blue eyes and purple hair with a blue streak in the middle, lands right in front of you.  Her black fur is sleak and shiny from the rain, just as her mane and tail are sopping wet. She gives you an odd look.
"Um...why are you here?"  she asks in a concerned voice.
     "
I couldn't sleep..." you say in reply.
"Oh my, I'm sorry.  That would be me, conducting a storm.  My name is Stormdaner, would you like to see where I live?"

"Sure!  I can't sleep so what the heck," you say while climbing on her back.  Somewhat surprised at how funny it feels to be riding a pegasus pony, you grip her mane tightly.
"Relax!  You're not gonna fall.  You're a natural I can tell. Brace yourself," she says as she springs into the air.  You gasp as Rainbow Palace gets smaller and smaller in the distance.  You notice that the thunder and lightning have stopped.  "Watch this," she says.
As you approach a cloud, she lightly steps on it.  The little cloud rains for the split second that she touches it and a small spark of lightning leaves the cloud.

"That was cool!" you say.
"Why thank you.  We'll be going to Storm Mountain, that's where I live,"  she says.
Pretty soon, you see a huge mountain luming in the distance.  "That's it!"
You land in a small niche.  You hop off and discover that it's really a cave.  Stormdancer takes a nearby torch in her mouth and lights the rest of the torches along the cave.  You gasp in awe.  It's nothing like a cave at all!  Inside is a lavish marble floor, chairs, a dining table, a couch, pictures, and much more!  "Have a seat."
You sit down on the couch and take it all in. Stormdancer returns with a tray of hot milk and some crackers and lays them infront of you.  She takes a seat and begins talking.
"Well, here we are!  Welcome to my humble abode.  As you've probably noticed,  I control the weather.  Even though Storm Mountain is a little ways away from Rainbow Palace, it's still apart of it's grounds.  Whenever----"
Stormdancer is interupted by high pitched peeping noises.  You turn around to see three small (about the size of a soda can) dragons flying towards Stormdancer.  Once is silver, one is gold, and one is a bronzy color.
"Guys!  How very rude of you to interupt!" she says laughingly as they dragons land on her head and figet around.  "Oh!  I forgot to introduce you!  These are my fire lizards...they're like dragons only smaller.  The silver one is a male named Sinx... Embyr is the little golden female, she's excellent with flying... and Pyro is the bronze one, he's a good fire breather."
At that, Pyro jump down from Stormdancer's head and begins to nibble  on your crackers.
     "
PYRO!" yells Stormdancer.  "If I've told you once I've told you a thousand times; DON'T EAT THE GUEST'S FOOD!!" The little dragon hang is head low, thouroghly ashamed, it seems.
"He also likes to eat," Stormdancer adds.  "Please excuse his
rudeness."

"Oh, it's alright!  I don't mind, he can have them," you say.  The dragon rocks back and forth on his feet, looking at Stormdancer anxiously...but she shakes her head.  Embyr snickers to herself and takes a perch on Stormdancer's head.
"Don't be so coy, Embyr," Stormdancer giggles.  "Well, would you like to go for a ride in the storm?"

"Y-You mean... actually ride through a storm?! YES!" you exclaim excitedly.
"Alright then! Hop on!"  she says as she makes her way towards the entrance of the cave.  You leap on to her back and she once again jumps into the air, beating her strong wings against the windy air.  The rain stings your face, but you don't care!  This is so awesome!  As you fly through a dark cloud, lightning strikes and illuminates all around you.  Everytime she lands on a cloud, it illuminates and gives a little rumble of thunder. The dragons zoom in and out of clouds, peeping with happiness.  Stormdancer is also going at a spectacular speed, flying through clouds then back out again, doing flips in the air (which scared the crap outta you at first), and twisting in mid air.
This is by far the most exhilerating time you've ever had.  Soon, Rainbow Palace is back in sight.  You land on Midnight Tower to find a very surprised looking Star Gazer.  You explain about riding through the storm and she listens politely.  In mid-converstation you realize how incredibly tired you are.  You turn around to thank Stormdancer and her little dragons.
"It was really no trouble," she says in her usual polite manner.  "Any time you ever want to do it again, just ask!  I will be happy to... I need to practice as often as possible so I can one day do a perfect storm, so anytime you want!"
You thanks her again and start to your room.  You finally get settled in bed and look out your window.  You can see Stormdancer and the dragons zipping through storm cloulds....you smile and fall asleep.
