Midnight Tower

  After many nights of peaceful slumber, tonight you are restless and can't get to sleep.  You've tried everything.  You even woke up Lickety Split to ask where the milk was so you could fix yourself some warm milk.  Finally, you get so fed up with it, you put on your slippers, grab a robe, and put on a blanket to wander the halls until you're sleepy. 
    You pass several rooms in the corridor, all belonging to guests and other ponies.  You walk for so long you find yourself in a part of Rainbow Palace you've never entered.  In fact, this is what seems to be the not-so-clean side of Rainbow Palace.  It looks very dark and damp, almost a little scary. 
     You come to the end of the hall.  There is a door with a sign on it reading, "MIDNIGHT TOWERS".  A little uneasy, you push the door open just enough to get through.  After climbing a very long, spiral staircase, you feel a chilly breeze.  Climbing another minutes worth of stairs, you find yourself outside. 
    You wrap the blanket more tightly around you.  As you venture more and more out into the cold, the wind is whiping furiously around the corner of the palace.  You look around and see a unicorn pony.  She is dark blue with yellow hair.  She hasn't noticed you coming in because she's looking into a telescope aimed at the dark sky.  Curious, you look at the sky and gasp in awe.  The sky is different than what you are used to.  You see no familiar constellations or planets.  The moon is huge and a light blueish gray color.  You look at the pony again to find her staring at you. 
     "I never thought the human would come up here just for little me," she whispers to no one in particular.  "Hello, my name is Star Gazer."
    You  nod and greet her happily.  Then you ask about the sky and moon.
     "No one else seems to notice the stars or sky except me.  I think they are the most beautiful thing in the world," she says looking up at the stars agian.  You both talk of the stars and science and your eyelids are soon heavy.  Star Gazer must have noticed because she says, "My, my, you look tired.  Perhaps you should go to bed?"
     You immediately agree and walk the endless corridors until you come to your room.  You crawl into bed and look out your window to the Heavens.  You are asleep in seconds.
