"You're right. I am angry. I'm damned angry. I'm going to hunt him no matter how long it takes. No matter what it costs. And if you want to call that a vendetta, go right ahead." (Janeway.) |
Plot: Whilst still under alien attack, the crew attempt to rescue the Doctor and Seven, who have been taken captive by the Equinox crew. Meanwhile, Janeway plans to do whatever it takes to bring Ransom to justice. |
Guest cast:
John Savage ("Captain Rudy Ransom") Titus Welliver ("Maxwell Burke") Rick Worthy ("Crewman Noah Lessing") Olivia Birkelund ("Ensign Marla Gilmore.") |
Some trivia:
* At the end of the episode, 5 Equinox crew members join the Voyager crew without rank: Marla Gilmore, Noah Lessing, James Morrow, Brian Sofin and Angelo Tosoni. |
Memorable scenes:
* The Janeway-Chakotay scenes are good, especially when he suspects Janeway of being more interested in bringing Ransom to justice than in the welfare of her ship and crew. * The scene where Janeway is torturing an Equinox crewmember. It shows a particularly evil streak in Janeway. |

Some quotes: |
"He'll break" (Janeway)
"You've got a fine crew, Captain. Promise me you'll get them home." (Ransom) |

My comments: This was a great season opener, full of action. It was good to see a certain evil streak in Janeway as she has her own little vendetta and plans to do all that's needed to bring Ransom to justice. It's a little bit of a shame that Ransom dies though as it would have been interesting to have seen what else could have happened between the two captains. |
