Director: David Livingston. Written by: Nicholas Sagan.
"The concept of being unconcious for 8 hours a night -- it's so alien." (Archer)
Plot: When the crew discover that Species 8472 are posing as humans and have even recreated their own holographic Starfleet HQs, Chakotay is sent to infiltrate their "HQs" and find out what they are up to.
Guest cast:
Ray Walston ("Boothby") Kate Vernon ("Archer") Zach Galligan ("Ensign Gentry") Tucker Smallwood ("Admiral Bullock")
Some trivia:
* Ray Walston was last seen as Groundskeeper Boothby in TNG's "The First Duty." * This episode, I think, sees the introduction of the 24th Century camera.
Memorable scenes:
* The scenes between Archer and Chakotay are pretty good as they have quite good chemistry.
Some quotes:
"The last 8472 I met tried to dissolve me from the inside out." (Harry)
My comments: I felt that the idea of Species 8472 posing as humans was a pretty good idea. However, I think it's a shame that Species 8472 become good guys by the end of the episode. I prefered it when they were threatening bad guys! Either way, it was quite an enjoyable episode.
