Plot:  When some aliens mistake Tom Paris' "Captain Proton" program for reality, they knock Voyager's controls off-line and an armed conflict ensues. In order to regain control of the ship, Janeway must assume the role of Arachnia, Queen of the Spider People, and try to infiltrate Chaotica's defenses, whilst the Doctor takes on his new role as President of the Earth and tries to help the aliens to defeat Chaotica.

Some trivia:

*  The real reason why this  holodeck-based episode came to be was because the bridge set had been ruined by fire.
*  Martin Rayner was also seen as Dr Chaotica in the season opener "Night".

*  Any scene with Janeway as Arachnia is great!
*  The Doc made one helluva President!

My comments:  This was one really FUN episode! It was great to see some of the regular cast play totally different roles and Janeway was great as Arachnia. It's a shame that we never see the "Captain Proton" program ever again after this episode. It was actually one of the best holoprograms ever! Anyway, this episode makes for some very entertaining viewing!
