" A direct route to Earth's doorstep, out of the blue. What's wrong with this picture?"
(Janeway)

Plot:  When a wormhole leading back to the Alpha Quadrant appears out of the blue, Seven is suspicious. But as an ecstatic crew look forward to returning home, Seven must prevent the ship from entering the wormhole at all costs as it's not quite what it appears to be.

Guest cast:

W. Morgan Sheppard ("Qatai")
Scarlett Pomers ("Naomi Wildman")

Some trivia:

W. Morgan Sheppard also played Dr. Ira Graves in TNG's "The Schizoid Man" and the one-eyed Klingon prison warden in "Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country".

Memorable scenes:

The scenes where Seven tries to take over the ship by herself are quite cool.
The dream-like sequences where we see what the crew's desires are good, especially since these are followed by a scene where we see what the harsh reality is (the ship stuck inside the creature.)

Some quotes:

"My mum says two heads are better than one. Isn't that Borg philosophy too?"
(Naomi to Seven)

"He senses your thoughts, your desires, and then he preys on them."
(Qatai)

"You seem to know a little about everything. Medicine, exobiology, shield harmonics..."
"I'm something of a renaissance EMH"
(Qatai and the Doctor)

My comments:  Not a bad episode. Though the concept of the crew being manipulated through their thoughts is quite similar to the season 2 episode "Persistence of Vision". Also, I'm getting a little tired of Seven being the one to save the ship. Nonetheless, it was an entertaining episode.
