Plot: When B'Elanna is forced to dump the warp core, a race of aliens called the Caatati, whose race was decimated by the Borg, salvage it and refuse to return it to the crew unless the crew give them Seven of Nine Meanwhile, when B'Elanna and Tom attempt to retrieve the warp core, they are left floating about in space with a very limited oxygen supply.
Guest cast:
Alexander Enberg ("Vorik") Alan Altshuld ("Lumas") Michael Krawic ("Rhamin") Kevin Stillwell ("Moklor")
Some trivia:
* The environmental suit that Tom wears in this episode is the same one worn by Worf in "First Contact". * Roxann Dawson was pregnant when she filmed this episode. * Alan Altshuld was also seen playing the sandalmaker in "False Profits".
Memorable scenes:
* The scene between B'Elanna and Neelix in the mess hall where Neelix offers to be a punching-bag for B'Elanna is quite sweet. * The scene where B'Elanna reveals her true feelings for Tom is nice, although quite predictable.
Some quotes:
"Let me access your controls." "I thought you'd never ask." (B'Elanna and Tom)
My comments: An OK episode but nothing too great. It seemed to drag a bit in some places and the Caatati are rather dull aliens. However, it was nice to see B'Elanna reveals her true feelings for Tom and despite the episode not being that great, Roxann Dawson still does a great job as B'Elanna.
