Founded and abandoned in earlier years of the SPD, the Seattle Police Department Fantasy Football League made a strong comeback in 1997 fielding 10 new Franchises and playing a full 12 week schedule plus a post season. The season was a successful one and the League went on to a second hard-hitting season. In the neverending quest for more competition (and more prize money!), the League was expanded to 12 Teams in its second season. Each season just gets better. The 2001 season marks the 5th anniversary of our League! During the season, this site is updated at least once a week. Be sure and check back often and join us for 16 weeks of solid madness. Bookmark this site! You won't be disappointed!!
A special thanks goes to George "Pappa Bear" Bray, of the Aurora Ho Cartel, for offering guidance in the re-emergence of the SPDFFL. George is the only remnant of the now defunct "East Precinct/SPDFFL". George's assistance in rule preparation and league structure helped make the new SPDFFL what it is.
Thanks also for the technical expertise offered by Mark Mulvanny, of the Heroin Junkies. In the early stages of the formation of the new League, Mark was instrumental in creating a reliable MS Access database that proved vital in keeping track of copious amounts of League statistics. Thanks guys!!
And as always, thanks to our membership! You are the real reason why the League exists and why it has been such a blast! Best wishes and good luck in the new season.
