NO MULDER. NO X-FILES.

We now have a petition in progress
in support of No Mulder. No X-Files.

No Mulder. No X-Files. is a Phile-based
petition which allows X-Philes to express
their opinions and lack of enthusiasm for
the show in the wake of the character's
anticipated absence. Many fans have gone so
far as to say that when Mulder goes, they go.

This is to tell FOX that many want to see
Mulder stay, and to let them see just how many
fans do not wish to see the show continue
in the wake of David Duchovny's departure.

Many strongly feel that Mulder is the
central character and core of the show
and without him, the show will no longer
be what we have come to love over the years.

Some feel strongly that the show
should draw to a close after the 8th
season and continue a movie franchise
- with David Duchovny in it -
that began with Fight the Future.

This petition is to give FOX some
idea of just how many fans will
not continue to watch the show once
David Duchovny leaves.

The petition will run till November 7.
When November 7 arrives, the petition,
along with all the names will be sent
to FOX affiliates and FOX productions.

Note, however - and I cannot stress this
enough - the purpose of this petition is
NOT to criticise David Duchovny.

The object of the petition is not to try
and change David Duchovny's mind, nor to
criticise his decision for leaving the show.
We fully support that decision.

But we want FOX to realize The X-Files is
about Mulder - and without him in it, we
won't be watching.
