So I've spoken with the airforce, all I need to do is to set a date for myself when I want to go back to work. I figure I'll take maybe a few more weeks, and then it's back to uniform for me. So long, long hair. Hello, neat and nerdy haircut. Anyway, I've been thinking about what I want to get after I start receiving pay again. In no particular order: 1) MP3 player - Maybe an i-Pod? 2) Oakley glasses - Saw this model that I really like, but being Oakley, it costs a few hundred bucks... 3) Car - Ok, realistically speaking, this will have to take some time... 4) Rich girlfriend - This doesn't have to wait til I get back to work. Anyone wants to fix me up? Ok, I'm kidding about item number 4. I'm quite happy being single right now. Guess I'm more or less adjusted to this lifestyle. Am in no hurry to get hitched again... |

My computer has been pretty screwed up these few days, and I found out that Norton Internet Security is causing some of the problems. But that's not all, some websites that I used to visit now cause my Internet Explorer to crash. Bwah! Maybe I need to upgrade the Norton software. I'm still stuck on the 2002 version... |

The bird flew away today. Bye bye birdie... Never did like it much anyway... On another note, we celebrated Ben's birthday last night, first at wine bar, then at karaoke. More pics here. Ben was so smashed that we managed to get him to sing! Yes, Ben, who refused to touch the mike the last time we went karaoke, actually opened his mouth to sing. In fact, towards the end of the night, all we had to do was hold the mike to his mouth and he will just sing automatically! That is an achievement indeed. |

So there I was, at Suntec, walking innocently into Tower Records... Ended up coming home with Autopilot Off's "Make a Sound." I was just checking them out there, and I liked what I heard. I'm listening to them now, and still enjoying their stuff... Driving rock anthems with elements of punk... Easy to listen to when I just want loud music... |

Why is it so damn hot these days? Why? Why? WHY??? Fwah! Someone get me a ticket to Alaska! On other news, Linkin Park is coming to perform at the Padang on 22 June. Any takers? I just hope the residents at Beach Road don't mistake all the ground-stomping that night for earthquake tremors or road collapses... |

Been listening to my MP3s for practically the whole day. I do think I have a pretty good collection of songs on my computer. Sometimes I sing along if I know the lyrics, sometimes I just close my eyes and listen, sometimes I sit by my window and fag as I listen. Sometimes, some song will get me thinking about things... Right now, I'm thinking about relationships. I'm single now, and I'm fine with it. Sometimes I miss having a girl besides me, but the fact that I don't doesn't get me down. I'm not looking for love, I'll let fate decide. I guess I don't want to hurt other people anymore. Somehow, I have to be careful with what I write, coz I know who still reads my blog. I have to watch what I say here coz I dun wanna antagonise her anymore. I'm just hoping that one day we can still be friends. Ok, this entry is kinda irrelevant, coz I'm just letting my mind wander and my thoughts flow. I think the weather is turning my brain into mush though... so damn hot these days. I wish Radiohead will head down to Singapore one day for a gig. I will definitely go. I wrote that coz a Radiohead song just played. And now it's a song by Blur... Why do all the great bands never come to Singapore? Bwah. |

Today is such a blistering hot day. Guess what Dad cooked for lunch? Curry Fish Head! Fwah! Speaking of fish head, I watched Kill Bill Vol 2 last night. What does that have to do with the show? You should know if you have watched it. Unlike Vol 1, Vol 2 doesn't have all the stylised scenes that pay homage to Japanese culture. The soundtrack in Vol 2 sounds like those old cheesy Westerns, not that I've watched any of those, but I'd imagine the soundtrack would be like that. The fight scenes weren't as long nor dramtic as in Vol 1. In fact, the only decent fight scene of note in Vol 2 was between Beatrix Kiddo and Elle Driver in the trailer. Trailer home, not movie trailer. Now that was an eye-popping experience! The fight betweeen Kiddo and Pai Mei doesn't count, coz Pai Mei would have kicked her ass in a second if he wanted to. Most of the dialogue reminds me of the earlier Tarantino movies. Guess Vol 2 is more of a typical Tarantino film than Vol 1. But at the same time, it also seems that Vol 2 was put together more hastily than Vol 1. Samuel L Jackson makes a cameo. I thought it was him when he came on, but I had to wait until the credits to be sure. But the coolest dude in the show has got to be Pai Mei. Dig those eyebrows and beard! The whole cinema laughed whenever he flicks his beard back. Okie, hope I din reveal too much of the show to those who haven't caught it. If you watched Vol 1, Vol 2 is a must watch for continuity and closure, but I still think it doesn't live up to the hype and promise set by Vol 1. |

Wow, I'm actually awake in the morning today. That's rare... Maybe coz I didn't bother staying up to watch soccer last night. Hehe. Didi seems to be coping quite well with the loss of Bobby. He's pretty comfortable with being alone, I guess, so there's no need to get another pig for now. Maybe coz the bird has been keeping him company. The bird is still noisy as ever. As I'm typing this, I can hear it chirping non-stop outside in the living room. Dad has been letting the bird loose in the house. It does fly much, so it usually just perches itself on the fence of the piggie enclosure. I hope it doesn't shit on Didi's head. And lately, my home has suddenly become ant-infested. I dunno whether it has anything to do with the rain we've been getting, but it's really quite a bother. My room has become infested too. I bought some ant poison the other day to try to get rid of them ants, but so far, it doesn't seem to have any effect yet. I'll be patient and wait a few more days... |

Hmm... apparently my quick recap on Monday wasn't that quick after all... Such a long post it became. Anyway, I've been going to the Orchard library at Taka to borrow comics to read. They have a pretty good collection, and it's still growing. I better read as much as I can now before I go back to work. Results coming out on 20 May for me. I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Gonna stay up to catch the Chelsea Monaco match later. I'm rooting for Chelsea to beat Monaco and get into the finals. No, I haven't stopped supporting Liverpool, but I'm rooting for Chelsea, coz they are the underdogs in this match after their disastrous 1st leg in France. |

It's not that there hasn't been anything for me to blog about these few days since Bobby left, it's just that I havent really felt the urge to blog these few days. Anyway here's a quick recap. Weiliang is back for good from US. He is officially a bond-breaker... Naughty Weiliang. But good that he's found a job that he's really interested in. To welcome him back, the gang met up for seafood at East Coast Seafood Centre. If you ever go there looking for seafood, do not, I repeat, do not go to Gold Coast. The food sucked, the service sucked, and the bill was damn expensive. It was Weiliang's idea to go there, coz it was the only restaurant which had space for a big group. But it being a Saturday and a public holiday as well, shouldn't the fact that the restaurant wasn't full tell us something about it? Oh well, at least the mistake was paid for by him. Also on the same day, Dad brought home a little bird. He said it followed him. It's still a very young baby bird with its down feathers. Also seems to have its tail missing. Its still too young to feed itself, so we have to feed it by putting the food straight into its mouth. It's also damn noisy, coz it'll chirp all day begging for food, and it's always hungry. The chirping must have drove DIdi nuts, coz we put the cage at the balcony at first. The only time the bird shuts up are the few minutes after it has eaten, and when it's asleep. No, no name for the bird yet. And I'm refering to the bird as "it" because I have no idea whether it's a he or she. Anyone knows how to tell the sex of a bird? And don't try to be cock and tell me to look for its penis... |
