What's happened to me in May 2002?!?!
Boogie!!! Woogie!!!
Resident penguins, Earl and Dick.
They have feet that sure are quick!
(Here they are, digging FBS's tracks)
1005H 31 May 2002 - World Cup Starts Today!

Yes it does. expect many days of rushing home after work or camping in at home on weekends to catch the greatest show on earth... woohoo! spectacular, spectacular! my tip for the World Cup title is Italy... not everyone's odds-on favourite, but i still hope the Azzuri win it...

Had a pretty enjoyable couple of days... as i said earlier, wednesday nite was FBS at zouk... i wouldn't say it was awesome. he spins pretty good stuff and has lots of variation and energy, but the crowd there was simply terrible! hardly any space to move, and there was this bunch of obnoxious assholes standing behind me and my friends. totally spoilt the experience... overall, i would say it was pretty enjoyable, and it was cool to catch a glimpse of FBS live in action... PS: i haven't felt so seh after drinking in a very long time... i state for a fact that i always felt and still feel that drinks at zouk got kick!

and after i finally woke up on thursday afternoon, went to sentosa with renee and loe... plan was actually to hit the beach, but loe said he had a friend working at the underwater world, so we decided to give that place a visit. turned out tickets into underwater world include a visit to the pink dolphin lagoon, so we went down to the lagoon to catch the dolphins.pretty amazing creatures they are. impressed, i was...

the underwater world was interesting too... its fun watching the fish fly by in the underwater tunnel... and i learnt some interesting facts about some fish. for instance, the sea bass changes sex from male to female when they are 5 years old, and that cuttlefish are not really sotong... in fact they have the most developed brains and eyes amongst the invertebraes(hope i got that spelling right, too lazy to check dic) there was even a dugong in the tank... after 7pm, they dim/off-ed the lights in the oceanarium to create a night oceanarium fee... cool concept but frankly, there is only so much i can look at fish without feeling hungry...

it was a pretty relaxing yet somewhat eventful day at sentosa... other interesting happenings include the fire-alarm going off at the underwater world, loe stealing a snapshot of this babe in bikini top and blades sitting at a bus-stop, us spotting helen at the beachwith her church-camp mates(Easy to recognise courtesy of her rather obvious head)and oh the most eventful thing was me and renee waiting more than an hour for loe who said he needed half-an-hour. bikers take note: you cannot ride into sentosa. take the bus!

so here i am back at work... ho-hum... think i'll slide off early later... i'm the world's no. 2 slacker! coz it's too much work to be no. 1, and its too pitiful to be no one...

1407H 29 May 2002 - AudioGalactic War: A true fairy tale

Just read that AudioGalaxy is gonna come under fire too, just like napster. All u mp3-download freaks best take note... but of course, there are plenty of other sources out there to download from... me? i have converted back to the old habit of buying CDs. and i have a tendency to buy more than 1 CD at a go... Renee can vouch for that...

This is what happened to me to make me believe in fairy tales:

I was sitting at the bar waiting for my friends, Jack and Jill, to turn up, when this dwarf came up and sat down next to me. so i said to the dwarf in my best Bugs Bunny voice, "Nyeeat... Whads up, doc?"

The dwarf said, "Dun call me Doc! I'm Grumpy! Humph!"

Suddenly, i felt a tap on my back. i turned around and in front of me stood the most gorgeous  girl i have ever laid my eyes on... as i checked her out from head to toe, i noticed that she was dressed in rags, but was wearing a pair of glass slippers. She smiled at me, pointed to the back of her wrist and asked for the time. i checked my watch and told her it was a minute to 12 midnite...

"Oh!" she exclaimed, and reached across me to plant a big wet kiss on the dwarf's nose. A sudden tower of smoke engulfed the dwarf, and when it cleared up, instead of the dwarf on the seat, all i saw was a slimy green frog.

Stunned, i picked up the ex-dwarf and asked him, "are u ok?" He said, "Ribbit!" and suddenly lashed out his long, long tongue. as the tongue was rolling back into his mouth, i saw some flies on it. i counted them and shouted in amazement, "Wow! Seven in one blow!"

Annabel Chong, who was sitting nearby, heard me and shouted back, "Thats nothing compared to how many i can blow!"

And to everyone's amazement, a loud voice from outside the pub suddenly boomed, "Thats nuthin compared to how hard i can blow!"

Next thing everyone heard was a loud "Huff", then a "Puff" then all of a sudden, the building of the pub suddenly lifted off the ground and flew away in a hurricane... Dorothy, clutching Toto in her hands, said to him, "I think we're not in Kansas anymore..."

When the dust settled, everyone saw the big bad wolf standing with a satisfied grin on his face. with the light from the full moon now free to beam in to everyone, these 2 guys at a table then changed into were-wolves... the big bad wolf beckoned to them and said, "C'mon, lets go climb the beanstalk and steal the golden goose..."

When i finally recovered from the shock, i looked at the ex-dwarf, and said, "Phew! What a night!" He nodded and replied, "Ribbit"

I later learnt that my friends din make it to the pub coz they were both in hospital. They were walking along Bukit Timah when Jack fell down and broke his crown and Jill came tumbling after...

That was when i realised that fairy tales do exist, but the gnomes in my garden refuse to believe me...

1038H 29 May 2002 - Can Norman Cook?

He sure can! Norman Cook, better known as Fatboy Slim, has been cooking up track after track of dance hits. Ever since his break-thru album, "You've come a long way, baby", he has become the most hotly sought-after DJ in the music industry, with such mega-stars like Madonna and Robbie Williams looking to him to re-mix their songs. His brand of dance music goes beyond classification, as he seems to keep re-inventing his sound yet at the same time retaining the same style that is uniquely his. While signature tracks like "Rockafeller Skank" (The right about now, the funk soul brother song) stands out with the catchy beats and loops, the tracks from his last album, "halfway between the gutter and the stars" have a more soulful feel to them. Last heard he is producing a album for the ever-inventive Blur...

Why am i talking abt FBS? coz he's spinning at
Zouk tonight and i'm going!!! woohoo!!! Went to his last gig in Singapore at fort canning, but unfortunately din get to see him in action, coz weak me felt ill before he came on... this time, i'm not gonna let that happen, man! heh, kinda weird that i'll be at Zouk on a wednesday night, and its not for Mambo... haha come to think of it, i haven't been to Mambo for eons... the place must be overrun by kids nowadays n Mambo nights...

One trivial fact abt FBS. he used to be the guitarist for
the Housemartins, the 80s britpop band that gave us the classic "caravan of love" i'm glad he moved on... hehe

1059H 28 May 2002 - Back, and frustrated...

Well, back from my JB trip over the weekends, and getting pretty frustrated by geocities and their pagebuilder coz when i was trying to update this, the pagebuilder kept closing and reloading and closing and reloading on me! anyway, hope it has finally settled down before i start plucking my hair out!

Had a pretty good time in JB, good and cheap makan, cheap booze and fag, though me and my friends probably din drink as much as we thought we would coz we were tired from the day of eating and shopping around. i din fag as much either coz, well, i m still cutting down slowly... Had a lot of laughs at Lufeng's expense coz he kept trying to apply his new knowledge of malay while we were there...

The fact that there was an escaped panther loose in JB din affect us much. actually we kept making jokes abt it, like how it was probably on its hindlegs, wearing a trenchcoat and hat, and queueing at the causeway to try to get into singapore. Not knowing what panther is called in malay, we did our translation the kindergarten way. panther is simply translated into malay as big, black cat...

last heard, the panther was spotted near a school in JB... Orders were given to kill the cat on sight... poor little pussy's probably hiding in a well , ding dong bell...

1200H 24 May 2002 - Cabby Baddie

Wanted to catch the last bus from my place last night to go to hall, but as i was waiting to cross the road to get to the bus-stop, the last 74 happily started to pull up to the bus-stop. "Shit," i thought, "now i gotta run for it" But being the responsible road-user that i am, naturally i checked both sides of the road before i ran across. Alas! A taxi driving down my side of the road. but it's going pretty fast, so i shall have to wait for it to clear before i dash over. besides, there are people queuing to board the bus, so i have a sporting chance.

so i waited for the cab to drive past, but the stupid driver just suddenly slowed down and stopped right in front of me, blocking my way! Idiot! I din raise any of my hands to hail that bloody cab! and he had to stop his big taxi right in front of me! that cost me like a few seconds! i had to go round the back of the cab to run across the road, but it was too late. as i reached the other side, the bus had just started driving off from the bus stop! just, and only just! meaning i would have caught it if not for the cab!!!!!! *peeved

thats the problems with cabs, ain't it? There's no supply when there's demand, and there's excess supply when there's no demand. in my case last night, the supply was not just excess, it was exessive! ack

anyway, turned out to be a blessing in disguise. as i trooped home disappointed at not being able to catch the bus, my tummy felt unwell, like it had been feeling the whole night. Major crap when i got home. So i guess i have to thank the cabbie afterall.

Mum thinks its the Dutch Lady Banana-flavoured milk i had at dinner, i think its the tomyam i had for lunch. the shit din give much of a clue. whatever, it was shit.

gonna be in JB over the weekends, hopefully get pissed drunk and all... expect no updates while i'm away

1302H 23 May 2002 - Bye, Boss, Bon Voyage

My boss goes off on his family vacation to Australia today. He was in the office this morning to just finish up some stuff/gimme some last minute work, and he'll be flying off in the evening and will only be back in Jun. Yay! It's not like he hasn't been out of Singapore while i'm at Motorola, its just that this time he's on vacation, and he wun/can't check up on me! haha freedom! woohoo!

Star Wars Episode II was great! Much better than the first one, and I think it gives a lot of hints on what is gonna happen in the future. How absolutely ironic when Obi-Wan Kenobi said that one day Anakin Skywalker will be the death of him. Even more so later on in the show when Anakin said Obi-Wan is gonna kill him for losing yet another light sabre. These little references to what happens in the original trilogy are absolutely priceless...

What else does the movie have going for it? well, a interesting plot full of intrigue, fantastic fight sequences, a swash-buckling
Yoda, and Padme "ooh-la-la" Amidala! definitely showing more skin in episode 2 than 1, and definitely yummier... *drool

Plus, the fact that i watched it in the Mega-Screen theatre at GV Grand, meant it was all the more exciting and exhilarating! especially the fight scenes... felt so close to the action! glad i chose to go to the mega-screen... =)

ok, so maybe i'm a bit superficial... we get to see how
Anakin starts being drawn to the Dark side, the origin of Boba Fett (and maybe the future Storm Troopers), how Luke Sywalker got his uncle and aunt on Tatooine, and the classic dynamic duo of R2-D2, and C-3PO re-unites...

For those of you with time to spare on the net, do check out the
Star Wars official site. Their database is amazing! There is a write-up on practically everything in the Star Wars universe! Awesome!

Ok, so my NUS IA Liasion Officer is coming later at 2.30pm... woah, i'm so fully of anticipation... *yawnz

And i'll be playing soccer (again) later instead of going for hockey training. Noti me, but it's really too much of a hassle to lug my gear all the way down to West Coast for just 2 hours plus of puck time. oh well...

1636H 22 May 2002 -
MAY the force be with you episode 2

Well, the little rain yesterday morning turned out to be nuthin more than a glitch in the weather system. ie, it's still hot as hell! at least i got to play soccer last evening, and scored a couple of goals...

Been pretty caught up with work the whole day (yes, i actually work!), but looking forward to watching
Star Wars Episode 2 later... gonna catch it at GV Grand, in one of the Mega-screen cinemas... wonder how mega they are... oh well, i'll find out later...
______________________________________________________________

1107H 21 May 2002 - Weather
MAYhem

Not exactly mayhem, but you know the weather doesn't like you when for a long long stretch, its hot as hell, and suddenly, just when you plan to play soccer, it starts to rain! yessiree bob! Today is supposed to be the day to finally get the chance to kick a football after more than 2 weeks. (Sunday soccer came to an end for me coz of hockey training taking precedence) So there i was last night, happily packing my soccer boots and change of clothing into my bag, and merrily crawling under my blanket clutching my favourite Liverpool poster and soccer ball (ok so i lied there... i dun have a soccer ball, but i do have a Liverpool poster!) and when i woke up this morning, it was my mum telling me to close the windows coz its raining!

Oh well, might still get to play later anyway.. the rain's not that heavy, and it's actually good that it softens up the field a bit. Expect a muddy encounter later.

When i checked my office mail today, i was surprised to learn that my IA Supervisor from
NUS actually dropped a mail to the HR department saying that she'll be coming down to see her IA charges this coming Thursday! The cheek of her! After ignoring my emails to her earlier in the year, she has the nerves to come down to check on us! *Fume! *Rage!

Nah, i'm not fuming or raging... those were just for dramatic effect. still i do think its quite rude of her to have ignored my emails and just come down to see us here without first telling us. she just went straight to the Motorola HR dept to
instruct them to organise a mass gathering cum feedback session. how arrogant! anyway, my boss leaves for his family vacation this Thursday, so he wun get the chance to complain to her abt me... haha! Not that he would be complaining much... i've been a good little busy helper to him most times. He should have nothing but words of praise abt me... (thick-skin, me) if only he knew how much time i spend slacking... kekeke. Shh... its our little secret, ok?

I actually dropped my beloved NUS IA sup another email telling her my boss will be away. wonder if she will reply... oh, the suspense...

0927H 20 May 2002 - Back at work...

Had a bit of a super extended weekend, coz i had another attack of eye infection on Thursday last. Doctor said its coz i m in front of the computer for too long at work, so gave me MCs to go back to rest my eyes. and what better way to rest my eye than to sleep all day! haha...

Anyway, by the time my eye was less red and less irritated, i couldn't come update my blog no more coz geocities was down over the weekends for maintenance...

but as usual weekend flew by quite fast... right now my body is aching terribly from hockey training yesterday. and hockey training started at 3pm in the sweltering hot sun! i was so fried, plus now my aching body... argh!!! somebody give me a massage!!!

well, after training yesterday, i had dinner with Renee at this little diner along upper bukit timah road, between crown centre and the police post. some time into the meal, i realise i was facing Michelle Saram who was sitting with a guy in the table next to us. i had a pretty good view of her, but the view might well have been Renee's coz we actually swapped seats before we settled down... her loss was my gain. frankly, she isn't all that pretty, i guess its the so-called "X-factor" coming into play again... but, she does have nice short hair which is a plus point to me anytime... kekeke

ok, enuff... back to work...

______________________________________________________________

1055H 16 May 2002 - A little bit of magic

took a day's leave yesterday to take a break from the monotony of work... caught True Romance with Renee, and she was pretty shaken by it, coz the movie ain't about what it sounds like it would be about, and she was definitely not expecting what she saw in the movie... hint: its by Quentin Tarantino. pretty typical of his style actually... this movie is actually 9 years old but only made it to the big screens in singapore recently coz the censors finally eased down on the cuts so that audiences can watch a coherent show

and last nite, the world's most expensive footballer, with a little bit of magic, conjured up a breathtaking goal to help Real Madrid beat Bayer Leverkusen 2-1 in the Champions' League finals... a truly stunning and perfectly executed volley by Zinedine Zidane won the match for Real after Lucio of Leverkusen equalised with a header off a freekick, 5 minutes after Raul got a lucky and soft opening goal for Real in the 9th minute. Drama at the end of the game too, as Leverkusen had good chances to put the game into extra-time. Real had 2 goalline clearances to make in the closing 2 minutes... really an exciting game between 2 good teams which neither deserved to lose. oh well, thats life.

ok now i've got loads of work to do, and feeling damn groggy after waking up to watch the game... lemme go grab a coffee...

______________________________________________________________

1640H 14 May 2002 - Pissed

Literally... just got back from the gents (dun worry, i washed my hands) u know how sometimes your pee may smell different depending on what you ingest before? for instance, if u r on anti-biotics, your pee smells of medicine, and if u had enough beers, your pee reeks of alcohol? well, mine just smelt like burnt rubber... wonder what i took to give it that effect... perhaps the gum joey gave me this morning which i'm still chewing on?
______________________________________________________________

1043H 14 May 2002 - Publicly private?

Some people dun think twice about putting their most private matters up on their blogs. but actually, most do. even if there are personal issues discussed, most of the time, the information is sketchy, and only the parties involved will have a full picture. guess its kinda like confiding to a person over a helpline... except that pouring one's troubles out through one's blog attract more attention... maybe that's what the blogger is hoping for in the first place...

nah, i'm not writing that with anyone or any particular issue in mind... just a comment... whether u agree with me or not, its totally up to u...

i remember when i first started this blog (which is only a few months ago), i did have some personal problems to grapple with... i may have written about it then, but whatever i wrote was pretty much cryptic to strangers, but clear to those involved. not that i was raving attention, i guess its kinda like writing a poem or song when the emotion is strong. sometimes words just flow out of my mind, begging to take form either thru voice or print. being the basically quiet guy i m, print is the more likely choice always.

though some of you may have seen my loud and boisterous side, i think those who really know me, know me to be usually a rather more subdued and withdrawn kinda person... or am i just kidding myself here? haha you tell me...

i dun really believe a person can be 100% aware of what he is like. it takes the people around him to see his character and personality and judge for themselves how the person is like. true, we should not be judgemental of people, but it is human nature to do so. isn't that how we decide who to make friends with, and who to avoid?

i dunno... just babbling on and on here i guess... ignore me if u judge this to be a waste of time.

ok, now to get back to my work in the office...

______________________________________________________________

1441H 13 May 2002 -
MAYbe i'm just bored...

Most definitely maybe... why else would i pop in here to update twice while at work? oh, and i guess its probably coz i'm pretty much slaacking away at work today. my stomach keeps making noises that sound like warped whining from mutant puppies... yet strangely im not hungry... how crude! meesa thinks meesa having too much gas in meesa tummy... brmrbrmrbmr...
*sorry, leftover jar jar speak from last night's star wars episode 1*

meesa think, i mean, i think that i really should get some real work done, or start on my IA report, but my boss is out of town this week, and its a slow sloth-like start to the week for me... i will start on proper work tmrw. oh, i will also stop procrastinating tmrw as well...

are you afraid of the dark? always remember yoda's wise words... " Fear leads to anger, anger leads to hate. Hate leads to suffering..." so fear not the dark, fear the dark side.

speaking nonsense, i am. quit my crap, i shall.

______________________________________________________________

0939H 13 May 2002 - Crash Boom Bang

Definitely not a good start to the week for some people... This morning, on my way to work, i took a detour to another bus-stop other than my usual one so that i can post a mail. i would not have caught the following if i had gone to my usual bus-stop

when i was dropping the mail into the mailbox, there was already a scooter lying on its side, a police-car, and another car stopped further in front of the scooter. Looks like an accident has already taken place, and a couple of police officers was standing around apparently doing police-like work. As i started walking towards the bus-stop, i suddenly heard a loud screech. Turning my head instinctively, i only caught the end of the pile-up occuring... from the looks and sounds of it, a car must have stopped behind the police-car waiting to change lanes, the car behind it must have sensed the situation too late and crashed into the car in front, and the last poor chap must have been driving too fast for his own good on a 2-lane road to brake his car in time...

in the end, there was a 4-car pile-up with the police-car right in the front. The police-car looked to have escaped with minimal damage, whereas the 2nd last car look totalled, having suffered the most impact from both the front and the back of the car. Miraculously, the original car which must have been caught in the accident with the scooter escaped unscathed... Quite a bizarre sequence of events if u ask me...

It was fortunate that no one was seriously hurt. as the bus i got on drove past the scene, i could see most of the accident victims already on their handphones...

and u know what, when the cars started crashing into each other, i could hear "cheers" from the coffeeshops from both sides of the road... not "happy" cheers, but rather cheers of surprise and maybe a bit of excitment at having witnessed the event. a bit sadistic, but i guess thats human nature...

i'm glad my day din start off as bad as the poor folks in the accident...

1402H 10 May 2002 - _ _ EEL   _ _   _ _ RT _ NE

Care to buy a vowel? Well... Wednesday night saw the debut episode of Singapore's version of Wheel of Fortune... Pretty pathetic cash money on the wheel, i must say, with the highest cash amount being a WHOPPING $1000!!! Woohoo!!! i dun really think its worth it to join, when i compare it to the US version... but what the heck?!? it looks pretty fun! But i must say that the contestants should have gone through more screening... there was this auntie-type who kept insisssting on prrronouncing everrry damn "rrrr" with a thrrrree-second rrroll of the tongue. i dunno what she was trying to prove... other than the fact that some aunties can get quite irritating... well, i know i'm being mean here... so if any of you rrreading this arrre rrrelated to herrr, please forrrgive me, horrr...

Anyways, i made full use of my 2-day MC in the end...its such a joy to be able to sleep in late and wake up when the sun is starting to burn my toes... kekeke... if i'm not on IA, i would be doing that everyday, man! perhaps sometimes waking up after the sun has burnt my toes even!

But alas, 2-day MCs only last... well... 2 days... so here i m back in the office slaving away desperately to keep my job and feed my family... haha nah... i'm just doing enough to keep my boss happy. that's one advantage of being on IA and having no intentions of coming back to this company for a job. i might have wanted to, but i sure ain't gonna be able to...

______________________________________________________________

1859H 8 May 2002 - Dis
MAY?

So i woke up this morning, and my  right eye is still red and with irritation... so i promptly wnet to the clinic downstairs and got 2-day MC from the doc... Could it be i got bitten by a radioactive genetically-engineered bug? I dun think so... whatever... so i just slept the day away... maybe i'll go back to work tmrw, maybe not... lets see how things go...

1019H 7 May 2002 - Spider
MAY

Ok watched spiderman last night after all... it was great! i totally enjoyed it... while keeping with the main gist of the original comic, some artistic license was taken in the movie version. If i remember correctly, in the comic book, Peter was bitten by a spider that happened to get caught accidentally by radiation in an experiment. In the movie... well, go catch it yourself... no spoilers here today... there are some other variations from the comic series in the movie, but spidey still remains pretty much the same... ie a wise-cracking superhero who always have something witty or corny to say when face-to-face with a super-villain... yet, beneath all that, he is burdened with responsibilities and insecurities. Spiderman is the laymen's hero coz if not for that love bite from the spider, he will probably just be another face in the crowd. Come to think of it, his wise-cracks make him come across as a bit of a Chandler, except that spidey has more substance... Go arachnids and arachno-humanoid!

Speaking of spiderman, did you know that most
spiders have 8 eyes? if u dun believe me, go catch one and try to look him in the eyes... just dun let him bite u...

Speaking of eyes, i woke up this morning with eyes irritated, tearing and slightly swollen... thought about going to the doctor to get an MC but there's work to be done and i dun wan my boss to think i'm keng-ing... so here i am in the office updating my blog instead... hope i can see the day through... *wink

Thank god i'm not a spider...

1115H 6 May 2002 - Come what
MAY

Sign... the debate on yawning took so much out of me i needed 3 days to recover from all that yawning... now i have sore jaw... nah, just kidding... stll, i m now suffering from my monday sleepiness at work as usual... erm... make that daily office sleepiness...

May be watching
Spiderman later... Saw the trailer with Kirsten Dunst in the rain, wet T-shirt and all... what a turn-on... haha... seriously, she is one hot chick...

There are now 7 weeks minus 5 days leave left to my IA... i shall start counting down... i can't wait for holidays to come so i can party-hardy day-in, day-out, 24/7 til i drop... no lah... actually, i'm just looking forwad to sleeping in late til whatever time i want in the day... that's one of the little joys in life that i appreciate... too bad only to enjoy that during weekends these days...

ok, i really have to get down to my work again... what a bummer... later...

1626H 3 May 2002 -
Yawnz... again!

This topic on yawning is contagious! Are you yawning by now? Yawnzzz...
______________________________________________________________

1442H 3 May 2002 - Yawnz...

Every wondered why yawning is so contagious? Once a person yawns in a crowded room, pretty soon just about everyone else is yawning too... My theory:

Kiasu... fear of losing out... When we yawn, it is actually the taking in of a huge breath of air into our lungs. Survival instincts tells us that someone else yawning means the person is taking in more oxygen. Now we all know how precious oxygen is to life... Therefore, when we see someone yawn, we too will yawn so that the other person does not get all the oxygen...

Makes sense? probably not... whatever... it's Friday and i dun care...

0022H 3 May 2002 - Absolute Wetness

What a wet evening! got so totally wet on my way to drums at YMCA...

Overheard on the bus... Interesting chat between 2 cool cats...

Wet Pussy: Wet wet wet
                 Miserable and wet.
                 Oh how i feel
                 like a drowning cat...

Dry Kitty: Poor little cat...
Let me take you to the vet...

Wet Pussy: Bring me to the vet?
                 I think i'd like that...

Dry Kitty: Hello little cat!
               Dun be a brat!
               Go for drums
               and burn some fats!

Wet Pussy: Poor little wet pussy cat
Can do with a little cheer
                 After burning some fat
                 He'll go for some beer...

Unfortunately the poor little wet pussy, erm, cat din get any beer... Oh well, maybe tomorrow...

1345H 2 May 2002 -
MAY the force be with you...

After a day of labouring in bed, went out at night for jap food(edo sushi) and a movie(Waterboys) at Cineleisure... well, to me waterboys was pretty enjoyable... kinda like a japanese teen flick... thought the female "lead" (read: vase/flowerpot) looked a bit like Kelly Chen... whatever...

And despite the hours of labour in bed yesterday, i still feel sleepy right now... must be the Real Madrid vs Barcelona Champions League Semi-final 2nd leg i caught in the morning... They drew the game 1-1, but Real won 3-1 on aggregate... Was there ever any doubt Real would get to the finals? well, not for most people i guess... Raul scored a scorcher of a goal...

Speaking of scoring goals, i know of a few
Liverpool fans/football fans who blame Liverpool not getting thru to the Champ's league semi-final on Michael Owen's missed chances in the Quarter-finals. Also, they have been on his back when he has been missing a lot of good scoring chances lately. C'mon, just coz he doesn't hit the back of the net all the time does not make him a bad striker... i'll have to say even the best stikers out there have their off-days/weeks/months. I've seen world-class strikers like van Nistelrooy struggle, Thiery Henry miss sure-score chances and Hasselbank firing blanks at so many games. even i dun score all the time(kidding, ok?) oh well, i will never forget the FA cup comeback last year when Liverpool beat Arse-nal with 2 late goals by Michael Owen. For me, he' definitely among the best strikers in the world...

Damn, i'm gonna miss my weekly Sunday soccer once NUS exams stop and training for

1741H 1 May 2002 - LABOURing away the whole DAY...

Man, dun u just hate it when its a public holiday, and yet u hafta spend the whole day doing such hard labour like spending the whole day trying to flatten your bedsheet by sleeping on it? I swear its a tough chore, ya know? having to spend the whole day in bed... it's really a time-consuming job. Its definitely a job i wish i could get out of the way sooner but i have to drag myself out of bed every other normal weekday morning... well thank god for labour day, coz i got to labour away the whole day in bed...
