2) You must take a strong stand against homophobia. ( Hopefully this is reflected somewhere on your website!) I would also hope that it takes a similar stand against racism, sexism, and bigotry of any kind.
3) You can't "bash back". Let's try not to fall into the "sins" of hatemongers. No hateful, vulgar speech will ever change a mind!
4) Design is important. Sites that remember that lots of folks don't have java script enabled browsers, that remember to have a way for folks to turn off music, and sites that show the author took the time to make sure that text really does show up against that pretty background get high marks. But since what I like in design is soooo subjective, content will play more of a part.
