STRAWBERRY DREAMS!
Supplies Jasc/Corel's Paint Shop Pro. Tube of Choice - For this tutorial, I used a delightful image created by Suzanne Woolcott. You can purchase her wonderful art in tube and full form at AMI which stands for Artistic Minds, Inc. Accessories- All the strawberry graphics were tubed by me using the graphic images from Microsoft Clipart Media - a great place for graphics and also included is the animated blender filled with strawberries! Please remember, when creating your signature tags, to only use permission art and to apply the copyright information on the tag. If you have purchased a commercial image, do add your license number as well. **When creating your Signature tags with Paint Shop Pro, do remember to save continually. Nothing worse than to use up your memory resources and lose everything!** SETTING USED IN THIS TUTORIAL Magic Wand: Mode: Add/Shift, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance 0, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-Alias checked and outside selected. Drop Shadow Settings: Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80 Blur 5, Color Black
CREATING THE TAG Step 1 Step 2 Left click the preset shape tool and locate the rounded rectangle shape. At the preset shape ribbon, just change the line width to 7.57. At the Material Palette, set the top color box to the color you want for your border (probably a nice shade of red to match the strawberries) and in the bottom color box, do not add any color. Going from left to right and down, draw your rounded rectangle, but leave room on the sides to add some strawberry graphics. Step 3 At the Material Palette, select two colors for a foreground/background gradient. I used red and pink. Left click the top color box and when the color selection window opens, left click the gradient tab, for style, select linear, and left click the drop down menu and select foreground/background with angle and repeats set to 0. Step 4 Left click the magic wand using the settings from above and left click inside the rounded rectangle. Go to Layers/New Raster Layer. DO NOT DESELECT Step 5 On the New Layer, go to Selections/Modify/Expand 2 and flood fill this new layer with the gradient you created in Step 3. Go to Selections/Select None. Step 6 Go to Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom and go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Step 7 Using the strawberry graphics, decorate your tag frame. Do not use the strawberry basket or the sundae. Open a strawberry graphic and resize it by going to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Once resized, go to Edit/Copy. Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Left click the mover tool, and move your strawberry graphic to where you would like it on your frame. Step 8 Do apply a drop shadow by doing the following: Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above. Continue applying your strawberry accessories to your tag frame by resizing and adding a drop shadow. Step 9 Once you have your tag border completely decorated, go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Step 10 Open up the strawberry basket and go to Edit/Copy. Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Resize the basket and apply a drop shadow. Step 11 Open up your main graphic image and add it to the tag following the same procedure as in Step 9. Step 12 At the material palette, make the top color box black and the bottom color box any color you will want for the interior of your callout (the caption symbol). Step 13 Left click the preset shape tool and locate the callouts available. At the preset shape ribbon, set the line width to 2.52 and draw a callout so that it is above your main graphic. You can use the same callout again or another one. But do draw two callouts - one for your sundae and one for the animated blender. Step 14 Open up the sundae, resize it small and paste it in one of the callouts. Step 15 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and add your text. Do add a drop shadow. Step 16 Apply your copyright information. Step 17 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Left click the crop tool and crop off any transparent areas not being used. Step 18 Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at about 70%, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Step 19 Go to Layers/Duplicate two times so that your tag has three layers. Save the file as a psp or psd file. We will add the blender in animation shop. Click here to continue.
