It has been 2 years since I took the number one spot in the NTSC Mario Party Rankings. I thought it would be nice to make proofs of my times. Although I have lost 1 WR and 2 WR ties, my times are still no less impressive than they used to be. Have fun with the few strategies that I scattered throughout this page :).

As was all of my Mario Party scores, this one was set a few years back (July 18th, 2002 if I remember correctly). Anyways, I'm proud of this time. As of now it remains the NTSC WR.
I dug this up in an old microsoft word document. Hope it helps:
Tap A as fast as you can at the beginning. Getting a good start is very important. Then hold up on the control stick the whole time. When you come to a turn, push the control stick at a 45 degree angle left or right (depending on the direction of the turn). Always cut the corners as sharp as you can and make sure you hit all the zippers.
There are only two spots where you might want to tilt the control stick all the way left or right:
(1) After the first zipper, you may want to tilt the control stick all the way left so you don't run into the wall.
(2) After the last zipper, I tilt the control stick at a 45 degree angle. Then right before I hit the wall (less than I second) I tilt the control stick all the way right. You slide along the wall keeping you boost and you don't seem to slow down very much (at least from what I can tell). After you get away from the wall, resume pressing up on the control stick.
This used to be the NTSC WR until Victor Lima recently beat it.
Thomas Grandjean had a theory way back that peach was better to use for the Bumper Ball Mazes. I cannot say whether she is truly faster, but I was able to dramatically improve my BBM times with the theory.
This happens to be an NTSC WR. It beats my second best time by quite a lot (24"7x?).
This is my favorite BBM stage. Lots of sharp corners that you have to cut close.
This also happens to be an NTSC WR. It also beats my second best time by quite a lot (30"03!!!). I am the only person to get under 30 seconds. The second best time is Matt Leto with 30"13!
3rd Place time. The first place time is 34"24 by Josh Shadoan. I do not think that this time is possible. After doing some tests, I have concluded that times can only end in a 0, 3, 6. Slot Car Derby and Mecha Fly Guy are an exception to this.
Here is a strategy by Thomas Grandjean. I used this to get my time:
Actually, moving the controller to the left or the right will slow you done, and pushing it forward isn't useful. So the idea is to use it as rarely as possible, meaning that you shouldn't use it at all on the 4th and 5th bends, and on the last one as well (because not using it won't make the handcar fall off the track, as it doesn't turn very sharply).
Easily my worst time. It ranks fifth place.
I don't really like this one. To hard on the palm...
3rd Place tie. It used to be a first place tie, but Dave Phaneuf and Miguel Lefebvre beat it with 20"80.
Hold up the entire race. When you get to a turn, let go of the control stick and immediately press forward again. Do this 2 times around each turn (except for the outer turns).
Also 3rd Place tie. Dave Phaneuf has 27"90 and Miguel Lefebvre has 27"96.
Same as SCD1, but you should do two "adjustments" on the inner and outer turns and 3 adjustments on the two inner turns.
Note: * denotes a WR.
