1960

     We began our journey through high school in the bright year of 1954. We entered the seventh and eighth grades spending most of these two years getting acquainted with the teachers, locating the rooms, and becoming familiar with the high school routine.
     We entered our freshman year in 1956. During this year our class advisors were R. Miller and E. Emanuel. As our class officers this year we chose D. Branch as President, J. Greco as Vice President, J. Marino as Treasurer, and M. Mauro as Secretary. As our first big thrill of our high school days we chose our class colors of gold and white. We also started to participate in the various school activities.
     Upon entering our sophomore year P. Steventon and R. Miller were our class advisors. As our class officers we elected P. Rose as President, R. Miller as Vice President, R. Fauzio as Secretary and S. Molinari as Treasurer. This year we purchased and proudly wore our class jackets. Since our class was the first to purchase jackets we made the emblem that the school has adopted as the standard for all class jackets purchased in the future.
     As we entered our junior year there were still many more thrills and loads of excitement in store for us. Our class advisors this year were G. Thear and again R. Miller. To lead us through our junior year we elected J. Digilio as President, T. Ouly as Vice President, J. Marino as Secretary, and C. Zabroski as Treasurer. I guess the most exciting event of our school days came when we chose and proudly wore our class rings. Another big event of this year was our first prom. Members of the class participated and helped in making our prom for the seniors a great success. As our theme we chose, "With a Song in My Heart."
     Time passed all too quickly and here we are seniors already, just about ready to graduate. In our last and final year at N.H.S. we had J. D. Williams and R. Miller as our class advisors. We chose R. Miller as our class President, P. Rose for Vice President, J. Greco as Secretary, and B. Ligenza as Treasurer. I guess this was our busiest year of all. We worked on various staffs this year, such as the newspaper and yearbook staffs. We also participated in plays and many other school activities.
     Now that we have almost completed our journey through high school and graduation is in the near future we are all making plans, with each and everyone of us going our separate ways. Although we are leaving N.H.S. we will never forget all the happy memories of our school days and we can't say how grateful we are to all our teachers and to anyone who helped us reach our first goal in life.
