| January. In my country, it is the wettest month that made everything easily decorated with mud. Ugh, what it’s the good of this month, what’s the importance of it then, huh? Huh? HUH!? Butbutbut… wait a minute! Of course it’s a _very_ important month. Because it’s the birthday of Saitou Hajime-Sama, dammit! Ahhhh… dang the muddy shoes, forget it already. Let’s think of how Sano would busy himself for his Baby Jay’s birthday instead! He wouldn’t forget, would he? Err…, do you think he would? ^_^;;; Then comes the next month, and, hey hey hey… do you believe that Saitou would know that February is his Roostie birthday, hmmmm? Heck, I really wanted to know how the hustle and bustle would go around those sacred months! How about you? Do you believe that Sano would be very busy? Will he remember it? On the other hand, how things are going at Saitou’s part regarding the incoming of his lover’s birthday? What would he do? Would he remember it as well? What is going on? What ever, nevertheless something must be going on. Or not. What do you think? Aaaahhh…, I believe you have figured out of something! Share it with us; in this little “Happy Birthday, Lovey Doveys!” fanfiction challenge. WHAT TO WRITE Choose one or do it all! 1. Happy Birthday Baby-J! Sano’s dealing with the situation of Saitou’s birthday: preparing something, thinking about it, confuse of what to do, getting a gift or giving it away, etc… etc... It can also, sadly I say, that he forgets!--damn Roosterhead! 2. Happy Birthday, Roostie! Similar with the first scenario but in here is Saitou who deals with the birthday of Sano. 3. Happy Birthday, Lovey Doveys! Eh heh heh heh… couldn’t find the better theme for this one. Anyways, this is where both are dealing with each other’s birthday. The choice and creativity is yours, lads!!! But please remember this… CONDITIONS ~ SaitouxSano as the main pairing. I wouldn’t care if you toss in as many additional pairings as you like--slash and/or het, but the focus has to stay at Saitou and Sano. Why? Well… because this is a SaitouxSano fic challenge, isn’t it? Nyah nyah nyah… ~ Shonen ai/yaoi is a must--duh! :P ~ Any genre is fine. ~ Any rating is not biggy, just let your wildest dream un-shameless-ly scrambling away at their wildest. ~ One shot or multi-part fiction is up to you. ~ Send it in as many entries as you like and we all are happy. However, only completed fics will be accepted. ~ It has to be, as someone has said it once before: brand, shiny new fiction. They can never have been posted or archived anywhere before the submission. Please note that each entry would be archived at Nekkie’s Ratnest. JUDGES There will be either 3 (three) or 5 (five) judges in total. The number of the judges will be odd to make sure that the decision would not turn up as a tie. The judges’ states of affairs + Shonen-ai and yaoi fanfiction writers + Familiar with RK but not specifically into SxS though can accept this pairing without loathing it at least in this challenge. They also are not _that_ familiar with SxS fics and the writers. Your mail would show the date and clock. If you want to know the conversion of the time, click the clock on the bellow right of your computer to get into the time zone. Say, my time zone is Bangkok, Hanoi, Jakarta; which is GMT+07:00; so at that said GMT time mine is going to be April 1, 2004, 06:59am. RESULT/OUTCOME The announcement of the winner/s may take 2 to 4 weeks in time span after the closing date. So, let’s hope that the result would appear somewhere in May 2004--if not earlier. SUGGESTION This is optional, but I suggest have your fiction beta’d. This is to avoid the misuses of words or typo-errors, which would affect the judging at any rates. This suggestion especially goes to those who are like me: the non-English speakers or/and the dyslexia sufferers (I am suffering dyslexia for real!). Anything besides the judges’ decision, what to write and the entries’ conditions can be bent the way I like it according to whatever circumstances at hand. Question? Oi, just e-mail me, minna-san! Ah, I need to rant a bit here. I have been an SxS lover for one and a half years up to now, and I can say that the situation in this fandom is both unique and strange. In the sense that a fic-challenge can be something that people would appreciate like hell and ignore as hell all the same. I would not be so surprise if there will be only a handful entries submitted, or probably none at all. However, I determined to go on with this challenge as long as there are more than one fic submitted. Doesn’t matter if the writer is only a single soul, the show still go on and the prize will be there. Worst comes to worst and I only get one single entry, my appreciation would also be there though I still don’t know what to do yet. Anyways, despite anything, I’m looking forward to your entries to feed my greediness on SxS fics. Nyum nyum nyum… SPECIAL THANKS !!
